This year’s Black History Month theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” invites us to reflect on 100 years of honoring Black history, culture, and contributions from the first Negro History Week in 1926 to today. It is an opportunity to recognize the countless ways Black Americans have shaped our communities, professions, and movements, from historical struggles to modern day achievements.
At Essential Care for Children, we honor this legacy by reaffirming our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in every aspect of our work. We strive to provide culturally competent care that respects the unique backgrounds, traditions, and values of every patient and family we serve. As we observe Black History Month, we renew our dedication to fostering an environment rooted in respect, compassion, and understanding, today and for generations to come.
