If you’ve been in our classes, you’ve heard it: “Exhale… connect to your core.” That’s not just a cue—it’s science.
In Pilates, breathing helps you:
Activate deep core muscles more effectively
Release unnecessary tension in your shoulders and neck
Improve focus and body awareness
Try this at home:
Inhale through your nose to expand your ribs wide.
Exhale through your mouth like you’re fogging a mirror—gently drawing your belly toward your spine.
Do that a few times and notice how your body feels. That’s Pilates breath.
