This season isn’t stressful because you’re “doing it wrong.”
It’s stressful because your body is carrying more than your mind is acknowledging.
Here’s what actually helps my clients regulate when life speeds up:
• Move 20% slower.
Rushing is the fastest way to activate your fight-or-flight. A softer pace is medicine.
• Return to your breath every time you change rooms.
Not dramatic… just one intentional inhale makes your body feel supported.
• Ground through your hands.
Warm water, soft fabric, gentle pressure. Touch tells your nervous system, “I’m safe.”
• Lower the expectations you never chose.
Half your stress comes from standards that were handed to you, not born from you.
Your body is wise.
Your system is speaking.
And you deserve a December that doesn’t demand you abandon yourself.
