As March winds down, we look forward to April, which is Autism Awareness Month. April gives us a special opportunity to honor and support the incredible young people served through our KidsPeace Autism Services.

To celebrate, we are launching the Play, Learn and Grow Autism Services Supply Drive to help restock essential items used across our programs. These items—snacks, sensory supports, fidgets, toys, and gift cards—help create positive therapeutic experiences every day.

For years, the former dining hall at Pioneer Center – a residential treatment program for adolescent girls ages 10 to 18 in Orchard Hills – sat largely unused. Once the hub of shared meals, it became unnecessary after each house transitioned to family‑style dining. With the space sitting idle, staff began to imagine how it might be transformed into something that better served the girls who call Pioneer Center home.
