Most falls don’t happen in dramatic ways.
They happen in everyday spaces.
Here are the 5 areas we see most often during in-home safety assessments:
1️⃣ Bathroom
Wet surfaces + no grab bars = highest fall risk zone.
2️⃣ Entryways & Thresholds
Even a 1–2 inch lip can become a major trip hazard.
3️⃣ Stairs (Even Just 1 or 2 Steps)
Lack of contrast strips, railings, or lighting increases risk significantly.
4️⃣ Poor Lighting
Aging eyes need 2–3x more light than younger adults.
5️⃣ Kitchen Layout
Reaching high cabinets or bending low repeatedly increases fall potential.
The goal isn’t to make a home look clinical.
It’s to make it safe, functional, and sustainable.
If you’re unsure whether home is still the safest option, start with an assessment — not a guess.
