Full and Part-Time Pharmacy Technician - Must be licensed in the State of Illinois or willing to apply for license before hire date. Ability to multi-task, detail oriented, self-starter with desire to work as part of a team in a relaxed pharmacy environment. This position involves supporting our pharmacists with prescription filling, inventory management, and other operational duties to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the pharmacy. Pharmacy experience preferred but not required.

Prescription Entry Pharmacy Technician: Must be licensed in State of Illinois and/or in process of becoming certified. Ability to multi-task, detail oriented, self starter, with desire to work with people in a relaxed environment. No Long Term Care Pharmacy experience required. Must have experience in Prescription Entry, with job duties including prescription processing, claim processing, management of inventory, processing of contingency kits, and delivery manifest reconciliation. Must possess excellent communication skills, detail oriented, and experience and basic aptitude in using pharmacy software/computers a plus. Pharmacy hours are Monday through Friday 9:00am to 5:30pm and Saturday 8:00am to 4:30pm. Pharmacy closed on Sundays and major Holidays.

ANNOUNCEMENT
OREGON, ILLINOIS – May 22, 2019 - Oregon Healthcare Pharmacy Services, an independently owned long-term care (LTC) pharmacy located in Oregon, IL, hosted its 10th Annual Nursing & Administrator In-Service on May 22, 2019. This annual in-service was held at the Rock River Center in Oregon, IL and drew over 100 nurses, administrators, and directors of nursing from over 50 facilities throughout Illinois.

The in-service provided nurses and nursing home administrators the opportunity to earn up to 5 hours of continuing education credits (CEUs) without cost. Speakers of the in-service included Section Chief of Education at Illinois Department of Public Health, Connie Jensen; Director of Quality & Government Services at Pathway Health Services, Leah Killian-Smith; Director of Education at Pathway Health Services, Susan LaGrange; Pharmacy Risk Management Consultant at Pharmacist’s Mutual Insurance Co., Kristen Jones; and Corporate Trainer at RDR Group, Heidi Peterson.

Welcoming attendees to the in-service was Oregon Healthcare Pharmacy’s owner Marc Mongan, RPh; Lead Consultant Pharmacist, Lindsey Montross, PharmD; Nurse Consultant, Sylvia Burdin, RN; all of Oregon Healthcare Pharmacy’s in-house pharmacists; and members of OHCPS management and administrative staff.

Plans for next year’s in-service are already under way! Mark your calendar for Oregon Healthcare Pharmacy’s 11th Annual Nursing & Administrator In-Service on May 20, 2020 at the Rock River Center in Oregon, IL, as seating will again be limited.
