Hello all!

I’d like to report that we are returning to seeing patients tomorrow (Monday May 4th.). And will be available during regular business hours going forward again.

As you are all aware, this new “orange” status of the state may change at any time, and a change back to “red” would very likely cause us to pause patient care again.

There are a number of new measures in place and I would like to explain them to our patients at this time.

#1. We want patients to wait in their cars when possible. Please call our office and let us know you’ve arrived, and we will most likely be ready, but please call us when you’re here.
If any patient is accompanied by anyone else, we’re asking (when at all possible) for the accompanying person to wait in their vehicle. If a patient needs to be accompanied, the other person will need to undergo all the same things outlined in #2, and their name and contact information will be entered into our records as well.

#2. All patients will be required to answer some basic health questions about their current health status, get a temperature check & hand sanitize.
In addition, some patients may be asked to swish with a hydrogen peroxide and water solution if they are at our office for procedures which may generate aerosols.

#3. All patients will remain in their treatment rooms after treatment is complete until we’re ready to dismiss them (usually less than 2-3 minutes)

#4. If anyone is seen for an appointment at our office, and discovers they had previously been exposed to COVID-19, we are requiring that they immediately call our office and let us know. We are tracking all appointments in our software and are using that data in the event we need to contact trace an exposure.

We appreciate your cooperation in these matters and want you to know that we take your health and safety very seriously & know that we are doing all in our power to make sure you’re safe.

Thanks!!!

Dr Damon Swenson

TGIF- at least we think it’s Friday! 🤣 In all seriousness we wanted to let our awesome patients know we miss seeing and treating you and our team is committed to doing our part to flatten the curve so we can get back to seeing patients and working as soon as it is safely possible. We thought for fun we’d have some of our team members send a pic of what they’ve been up to the last few weeks. Have a great weekend and stay safe everyone! 😀

Hello all,

I wanted to provide an update for my patients about what's happening regarding dental care in Utah. The governor signed into effect an order stating that no non-urgent dental care can be performed in the state from March 25th to April 25th. My office staff will be calling you to help you move your appointment (if you have one upcoming).

I can still see dental emergencies if they meet certain criteria. I realize this is very inconvenient for all of us, and if you are in pain, or aren't sure if you have an emergency, or have any questions at all please don't hesitate to call our office @ 801-224-7337

Here is a link to the governors order: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12gNfyF1fHbhI_kv3L6jq-KeU4dkGtK2d/view

So we are now moving all of our non-urgent appointments out & plan on returning to normal operations on Monday April 27th.

I'll be in touch!

To all my patients:

The American Dental Association has recommended (late yesterday) that all dental offices in the USA move all elective dental appointments out 3 weeks.

We will continue to see emergency patients, however I will not be at the office at all times. We are recommending that if you are having pain & need to be seen that you call our office # first before coming by @ 801-224-7337.

If you don't reach someone at the office please listen to the message and it will give you my cell #. Please leave a message if I can't be reached. TEXTING me is also good. I will do my best to respond in a timely manner. We will phone screen any emergency calls prior to making an appointment.

We hope to be returning to work on April 8th, but obviously we will need to see what the next 3 weeks brings. Please continue to check here for updates. I will post information as it becomes available.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this difficult time.
