Therapy is about personal growth, trials you may be going through, and giving you the tools you need to help you get through those trials. We can guide you through the process of discovering your inner strengths, and together we can expand your options so that you can make the best possible decisions. The holidays bring excitement—but they can also bring pressure, expectations, and emotional overload.

At Deseret Counseling, we remind individuals, couples, and families that it’s okay to set boundaries that protect your peace.

Saying no to one more event, choosing simpler traditions, or carving out quiet time together can make the season more enjoyable for everyone.

A great rule of thumb: If it drains you more than it fills you, it’s okay to pass on the opportunity and let it go.

Kids and teens especially benefit from calmer routines, predictable downtime, and moments where they feel heard and supported.

And when you give your family permission to slow down, you make space for more patience, better communication, and a more meaningful holiday experience.

🌟 Mental Health Monday 🌟

Live from Las Vegas! 🎰☀️
Today we’re jumping in with a simple check-in question:

➡️ What’s your favorite holiday — and why?
➡️ And what’s one thing you’re thankful for today?

Holidays can bring joy, connection, and meaning… but they can also bring stress, pressure, and expectations. Taking just 10 seconds to reflect on why a holiday matters to you (or what you’re grateful for right now) can shift your entire mindset.

Gratitude resets the nervous system.
Reflection grounds you.
Connection heals.

So whether you’re traveling, working, or relaxing at home, pause and ask yourself:

✨ “What holiday brings me the most peace or happiness?”
✨ “What am I grateful for in this moment?”

Drop your answers below — let’s spread some positivity today. 💬👇
Happy from Las Vegas! 🧠💛

Mental Health Monday… just a little late this week.
We were in Las Vegas filming an interview, and it got us thinking about the traditions and moments we’re most grateful for.
Family, connection, and the memories that carry us through — that’s what matters. 💙

So many of us are quick to support friends, family, and coworkers—but when it comes to asking for help ourselves, we hesitate.

The truth is, asking for help or seeking out a therapist isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s an act of courage and self-respect.

So whether you’re facing anxiety, grief, relationship challenges, or simply feeling stuck, talking to someone who truly listens can make all the difference.

At Deseret Counseling, we’re here to help you find clarity, healing, and hope—one conversation at a time.
