IVV sends eye teams to Zambia 4-6 times a year, in order to screen for and treat medical conditions that lead to blindness, perform eye surgeries that can restore sight. Our board and physicians who make up the eye teams are all volunteers who donate their time and expertise. Rotary International and Sight Savers have been very supportive partners in our mission. We appreciate any donation large or small to help us in our mission.

Our favorite part of treating patients is the day after surgery, when they can see again. Our lovely patient danced for us to demonstrate just how happy she was.

Thank you to our partners/donors who help us provide glasses to patients like Boniface at Zimba Eye Clinic. Specs for Africa sent us hundreds of donated frames and sunglasses. Boniface wanted to make sure that we pass on his thanks to all our donors and supporters.

We're proud of our IVV staff for running an impactful community outreach program! Not only are we teaching community health care workers how to screen for eye diseases, but we're also expanding our reach in rural Zambia thanks to the generosity of our donors. Every contribution counts and we're grateful for the support! Donate now at IVVUSA.org/donate 👁️👁️

Thank you to my aunt and uncle who helped prepare my mother’s garden for our beautiful IVV reception. They stepped off the plane from Korea and were instantly put to work weeding, planting, and sweeping in preparation for some serious fundraising. And yes, she is wearing a dress made of a chitenge from Zambia. .org

It was an honor to have Jean and Hal Kemp and Dr. Robert Grosserode and his wife Terri at the IVV reception last night. They were instrumental in founding IVV with Dr. Bud Tysinger and starting the over 30 years of work in Zambia. Without them we would not have an amazing Zimba Eye Clinic. .org
