A of the shoulder is an often overlooked injury. While anterior labrum tears can often cause shoulder instability, these injuries more often cause pain. They can occur with football, weightlifting or overhead sports. Treatment typically consists of physical therapy initially with possible injections. Another case! In many instances, when the shoulder dislocation occurs it can make a dent on the humeral head, also known as a Hill-Sachs lesion. This can lead to recurrent shoulder instability. One treatment method is known as a Remplissage, which is French for "to fill." This involves placing a portion of the shoulder capsule and posterior rotator cuff in the defect to prevent engagement on the glenoid.
