(ulnar collateral ligament) injuries are common in overhead athletes. The UCL connects your ulna to your humerus and resists valgus stress which occurs during throwing. Surgical intervention is necessary with full thickness tears and failure of conservative treatment with partial tears. This individual was a high school baseball player who presented to Dr. Watson with persistent elbow pain despite a period of rest, cessation of throwing. He had evidence of a high grade partial thickness humeral sided UCL injury. He underwent with an and returned back to sports with no issues.
