A lot of us didnât grow up with emotional safety â we grew up with coping.
So as adults, we expect ourselves to handle everything perfectly. To regulate, process, move on⌠without ever needing anyone else. And when emotions feel overwhelming, we assume somethingâs wrong with us.
But most of the time, itâs not that youâre broken â itâs that a part of you never learned it was safe to feel.
Emotional safety is what softens things. Not answers. Not control. Not certainty.
This is something we see come up a lot in our work â and something weâre still practicing in our own lives too. đ¤
