✨ Shared from Carol — written by Kaylie ✨
My mom came across this photo today and asked me to share the story behind it. The portrait in the frame is one I drew of Wayne Dyer — someone who has been one of her greatest teachers, and now one of her spirit guides who has shown up for her in countless signs and moments of guidance.
Her connection with him goes back years — to the earlier part of her mediumship journey. There’s a story my mom tells that still feels magical every time we talk about it:
She entered a contest and ended up winning a free trip to Maui. She already knew Wayne lived there, so something about it felt meaningful from the start.
When she arrived, her hotel ended up being on the same beach strip as his condo… just one block down. Completely unplanned. Completely aligned.
And during that trip, in the most natural, spirit-led way, she actually ran into him.
She said:
“I knew in that moment I was exactly where I was supposed to be.”
Wayne invited her up to his condo.
They talked — not about big spiritual concepts, but about life, presence, and being connected.
She always describes his energy as:
“Grounded, calm, and so real. It felt like being understood without needing to explain anything.”
He gifted her a signed book that she still has to this day.
But what stayed with her most was how guided the whole experience felt — like she was being shown, in real time, that she was supported and walked with.
Years later, after he passed, he began showing up again — but this time from the other side. Not as a memory, but as a guide. Clear. Loving. Unmistakable.
That’s why this drawing means so much to her.
It represents someone who taught her, walked with her, and still does.
If you’ve been wanting to reconnect with yourself, my mom always recommends The Power of Intention.
And a favorite quote of his:
“Change the way you look at things, and the things you look at change.”
