Wow this year has flown by. I definitely miss California, my family, friends and clients, but Tennessee has been good. God keeps reassuring me he put us where we're at for his purpose and for this time in our lives. The blessing of being able to travel back home often has definitely helped get thru this change. I'm so blessed so many of my clients always look forward to my visits. We've found a amazing church family here in TN. The little town of Harriman is such a fun, cute, growing little town, reminds me of home. The surroundings is so similar to home, small, within 30-45mins to the big city of Knoxville, other small towns within 8-10miles on both sides of us, and 2hrs to Nashville. Can you believe our area code here is 865, the prefix from orland? That was such a cool thing to find out when first getting here. Our church is similar here as home, small(family knit) teaching straight from the word(no sugar coating God's truths) our neighborhood is quite, walkable, everyone keeps to their selves but helpful and keeps a eye out. Every connection I've had(people, places )has been connected in a round about way(God's work reminding me he's in control and we're safe in his will). We've now been thru all the seasons here. which over all temps are similar to home except for the intense heat you guys get. And we definitely can have some colder days but really not that bad, and of course you don't get the tornado threats like we do. We are in the process of a few changes(looking for the perfect house to rent and or buy) for the time being. Still not sure if we will be staying in Harriman or moving closer to Chattanooga in the future(but I know God knows and has it all planned out) im here for the ride, and it's been good. I've been getting out into the community and trying to be a light for christ, i believe that's one reason he has me here. We have rivers, lakes,beautiful parks,mountains (hills), trees, all around us. There's so much to do, explore. I even got to see a bear in person. We're building some great friendships, we're finding some yummy food. We're enjoying fire flies right now. We are really trying to enjoy it all and take it in. I'm finally not crying every week, days etc. Anymore(missing home). Life is short, precious and we're all where we're supposed to be at the time we're supposed to be. Anyhow that's my up date.
