Wheeeewwww.

Has it been a journey. Although I’ve been a massage therapist for 7 years, I’ve been actively in my own studio for 3 solid ones.

This path has been the most fulfilling, scary, challenging, and fun ride that I could imagine.

I’m eternally grateful for the community for allowing me to serve my medicine. I’m honored to hold space & witness you all as we walk each other home.

Love to you all! Cheers to year 4!!! 🥂

Tightness is a sign that the body is doing exactly what it needs to do. It is creating safety and structure so you can move through life without falling apart. It can be released, only when the surrounding muscle groups are able to turn on & take on their load. Massage can help by bringing awareness to the root of tightness & giving the body a space where it can reconfigure itself.

If you’re experiencing recurring tightness and you’re unsure which type of session would support you best, comment CONSULT and I’ll send you the link to schedule a brief consult. We’ll look at what your body is communicating and decide together what makes the most sense.

Sometimes nervous system regulation starts with something this simple. 🍵

Pairing a physical sensation like warmth with an environmental cue like sunlight invites the body to slow down, orient, and feel safe. It’s a gentle way of telling your nervous system that the day doesn’t need to start in a rush.

Winter often brings less sunlight and lower vitamin D exposure, which can impact mood, energy, and overall regulation. Taking a few quiet minutes with warm tea in the morning light offers your body warmth, brightness, and a small dose of natural vitamin D.

Such simple support that can help you feel more grounded as the day begins. Let me know if you’d like more regulation practices, and if I should make this a series…😌.

Yin yoga embraces slowness, stillness, and introspection, which makes it such a supportive practice as winter settles in. 🧘‍♀️

This is a season that naturally asks us to soften and turn inward. Yin creates the space to do exactly that, inviting the body into supported postures that feel restorative and deeply nourishing, not demanding.

And a gentle reminder: yin can sometimes bring uncomfortable feelings to the surface. If at any point it feels like too much, it’s okay to stop.

Shift your focus to something grounding like drinking a glass of water, wrapping yourself in a blanket, taking a shower, or doing whatever feels supportive in that moment. 🍂

Trust what your body is asking for, even if it’s slower than you expected.

If you’ve tried this practice, what did you notice your body asking for, or what sensations arose?

When we write our thoughts or feelings down, we’re able to step out of the loops of our mind and back into the physical world. It helps us clarify what’s actually there, focus on what matters, and get more into the present moment.

One of the best low-effort ways to begin is to simply throw up on the page. Any and every thought, write it down as it comes in. Unfiltered. Let it flow until you feel complete.

This practice is beautiful in the morning, right after you wake up. Starting the day with a clear mind is a blessing you can gift yourself. And at night, it becomes a place of reflection… your own wind-down routine that helps you return home to yourself.

And truly, don’t wait for the perfect time, the perfect notebook, or something “worth” writing. Just start. Your body will tell you the rest.

When you stop forcing momentum and let your body move at winter’s pace, your goals have space to mature beneath the surface, so by spring, they actually have somewhere to grow from. 🌱

If you’re leaning into a slower pace this season and want support as you ground yourself, I’m holding space this season for anyone wanting to tend to their body and nervous system while they root. 🫶

You know what they say… once you go Thai you say table massage bye bye 👋🏻

Just joking. While a lot of my clients have switched to Thai permanently, other clients love flip flopping between the two every month.

Whatever floats your boat!

After working through the legs, hips, and glutes, the low back is finally ready to be approached with more nuance.

From here, I adapt the work to the person in front of me. Sometimes that looks like gentle twists to unravel old patterns… sometimes it’s traction to decompress the spine… sometimes it’s opening stretches that create space where the low back has been craving relief.

No two bodies respond the same. Each low back carries its own history… its own compensations, protections, and moments of strain. My approach shifts based on what your body asks for in real time.

Part 4 will keep exploring how to support the low back with intention, care, and curiosity because bodies tend to hold similar patterns of pain, but everyone requires unique treatment.

12/24/2025

Low-back pain is almost never just about the back. When I begin with the legs and hips, I’m looking for the deeper patterns your body has created to keep you moving.

Starting here helps me understand why your back hurts, not just where. Once we see the root, we can actually start creating space for real relief. This sets the foundation for what comes next.

Tomorrow I’ll drop Part 3, where we’ll move into using twisting, traction, and gentle stretching to decompress the low back and support the release your body has been waiting for.

12/22/2025

So often, when someone comes in with low-back pain, their first instinct is to focus only on the area that hurts. But the body doesn’t work in isolated parts.

Your legs and hips reveal patterns of compensation and protection that often go unnoticed. By working there first, we support the parts doing the most work and take pressure off the back.

Part 2 of the series is dropping tomorrow, where I’ll show how we begin to release the legs, hips, and glutes in session. Stay tuned!!
