Her pre-school was doing a Father's Day breakfast celebration and unfortunately she doesn't have that 'dad' support but she has uncles and a village that will ALWAYS make sure she is supported!!

It's incredible to think about the precise coordination and cooperation between our body parts to produce something as complex as speech. And while it may seem effortless, it is a skill that takes years to develop and refine. 💡

Understanding the anatomy of speech can also help us improve our communication skills. 💬 By being aware of the different components involved, we can work on enunciating and articulating more clearly, making it easier for others to understand us.

So the next time you speak, remember the intricate process that goes into it and appreciate the wonders of the human anatomy.

Happy communicating! 💚

It's truly amazing to think that at such a young age, their brains have already absorbed such a vast amount of vocabulary. And by age 3, they can even string together 3-4 words to form sentences! ☑️

Language is a vital tool for communication and self-expression, and it plays a crucial role in a child's overall development. By paying attention to their language milestones, we can identify any potential delays or difficulties and address them early on. This not only helps our child's language skills but also their social and emotional well-being.

So, how can we track our child's language development? One way is to keep a record of the words they know and use. This can be as simple as writing them down or creating a photo album of their favorite words. Another way is to observe their interactions with others. Are they able to follow simple instructions and respond appropriately? Do they engage in conversations and use a variety of words to express themselves?

It's also important to remember that every child develops at their own pace. Some may reach these milestones earlier, while others might take a little longer. The key is to provide a language-rich environment and encourage our child to communicate in their own way. 🌼

Phonological awareness is an essential skill for young children to develop as they learn to read and write. It refers to the ability to recognize and manipulate the sounds and patterns of spoken language. By supporting your child's phonological awareness, you are setting them up for success in their literacy journey. Here are three simple tips to help you do just that:

1️⃣ Play rhyming games: Rhyming is a fun and effective way to help children become aware of the sound structure of words. It teaches them to listen for similarities and differences in words, which is an important skill for reading and spelling. You can play simple games like "I Spy" where you say a word and your child has to find something that rhymes with it. You can also make up silly rhyming words together and have a good laugh while learning.

2️⃣ Read books with repetitive patterns: Children love predictability, and books with repetitive patterns provide just that. By reading these types of books, your child will become familiar with common word patterns and develop their phonological awareness. You can also encourage your child to join in on the repetitive parts of the story and even create their own versions of the book.

3️⃣ Clap out the syllables in words: Syllables are the building blocks of words, and clapping them out is a great way to help children identify and manipulate them. Start with simple words like "cat" and have your child clap once for each syllable. As they become more confident, you can move on to longer and more complex words. This activity not only supports phonological awareness but also helps with speech development.

Remember, phonological awareness is a skill that takes time and practice to develop. Be patient and make learning fun for your child. By incorporating these simple tips into your daily routine, you are giving your child the tools they need to become successful readers and writers. Happy learning! 📚✍️
