Founder Marta is a licensed mental health counselor, relationship expert, educator, speaker, radio host and founder at Aspen Psychology and Counseling Center. She specializes in the treatment of couples, adults, adolescents and families, with a special interest in anxiety, depression and relationship issues. She is also interested in multicultural issues and is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
She is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the American Counseling Association (ACA), and the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). In addition, she is a member of the Attachment Parenting International (API) organization.
Marta Rocha has done extensive study in Counseling and Psychology. She has Bachelors in Psychology and Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University in Orlando, Florida. She has been trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMR) Therapy, Anger Management, and S*x Therapy. Currently she is pursuing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, focusing her research on the developing of secure attachment between multi-cultural couples.
Marta Rocha is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families build strong relationships through counseling, workshops, and education. She has taught undergraduate Psychology classes at Florida Technical College in Kissimmee, Florida. She is the author of articles on topics of mental health and relationship issues that have been featured on Goodtherapy.org, YourTango, and Babble Parenting website. Also, she has been a presenter at University Behavioral Center, the Florida Association of Christian Colleges, Woamtec Professional Business Women Conference, and the Association of Christian Schools International. She has contributed as an expert on mental health issues at Central Florida News 13, Fox News, Point of View, and YourTango. And she has been promoting healthy relationships on the “Love & Relationship” radio show, where shares advice and answer questions from her listeners.
Marta Rocha lives in Kissimmee, Florida with her husband. She enjoys being outdoor and participating in running races and triathlons.
