Our goal is for children and families who visit us to feel at home. We know that a hospital can be a scary place for a young child. So we’ve gone above and beyond to create a care center that is friendly and perhaps even a little fun. At AdventHealth for Children we have made it our purpose to provide your family with the most advanced pediatric medical services built on the foundation of treating all our patients as if they were are own. With more then 140 pediatric specialists practicing in 35 specialties dedicated to healing children, we have built a connected network of 28 trusted locations from Urgent Cares to Emergency Rooms and from Specialty Clinics to NICUs. We appreciate and encourage the conversations and perspectives shared by the diverse AdventHealth online community. To ensure this space is safe and welcoming, all visitors are expected to adhere to our community standards, which you can review here: https://www.adventhealth.com/adventhealth-community-standards. Please be advised that any inappropriate, offensive, or hateful comments will be removed by AdventHealth.

For children facing advanced liver disease, living donor liver transplant can offer a faster path to healing.

Dr. Dellys Soler Rodriguez, Medical Director of Pediatric Advanced Hepatology & Liver Transplant at AdventHealth for Children, shares how this life-saving option is offering new possibilities for our youngest patients.

This recent case marks a meaningful milestone — the first pediatric living donor liver transplant at AdventHealth Orlando and the first performed in Florida in more than 15 years.

Guided by our faith-based mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ, we’re grateful to continue expanding liver care for children close to home.

Caring for children means caring for the whole family, with compassion, expertise and a steady presence through every step of the journey.

At AdventHealth for Children, Dr. Brian Tullius is helping bring new hope to families through advanced therapies and clinical trials, guiding them with both innovation and deep compassion. Alongside him, Dr. Stacy McConkey supports children with complex needs while also investing in the future of pediatric care, mentoring the next generation and serving communities near and far.

This Doctor’s Day, we’re reminded that our physicians are more than medicine. They walk with families through moments of uncertainty, offering strength, support and hope when it’s needed most.

For children living with sickle cell disease, healing is about more than treatment. It’s about feeling supported, seen, and cared for through every step of the journey.

The Emily Whitehead Foundation visited AdventHealth for Children to deliver Believe Bundles to patients undergoing treatments like gene therapy and bone marrow transplant. Each bundle offers comfort and encouragement during a challenging time, with items thoughtfully selected by Victoria Gray, the first person to receive curative gene therapy for sickle cell disease.

AdventHealth for Children is honored to offer advanced treatments like gene therapy as a path toward a cure, while caring for every child in body, mind, and spirit.

Every child deserves care that sees who they are — not just why they’re here.
