Two days after birth, Daisy’s pediatrician heard a heart murmur that led to the diagnosis of Tetralogy of Fallot and Partial Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return. At six months old, Daisy underwent open-heart surgery to correct the four heart defects associated with Tetralogy of Fallot, as well as the misrouted vein. Right before surgery, our pediatric heart surgeon, Dr. Mora, discovered an additional defect which he was able to repair—sparing her from needing a second surgery.
Daisy’s mom shares, "Dr. Mora took the time to explain everything clearly, so we felt prepared and supported every step of the way. We are so grateful for the entire team and how they cared for Daisy." ❤️
