OCA- A Special Place for Special Needs OCA focuses on what an individual CAN DO.

Providing Opportunity, Building Community, Maximizing Ability for Individuals With Autism and Other Disabilities www.GoOCA.org

OCA was founded in 2008 with the knowledge that children and adults with Autism and other disabilities need more opportunities to engage in age-appropriate activities with their typical peers. We offer Recreation Programs, Adult Program, Camps, Special Olympics training, ABA Therapy and other services for the Special Needs Community in Central Florida. “Special Needs” are commonly defined by what a person CAN’T do.

After eight months of therapy at OCA, Madison set meaningful goals and achieved them. 💙

With support from our clinical team, she strengthened her communication, social, coping, and executive-functioning skills. Her progress is being felt both at home and at school, building a strong foundation for her future success.

Madison’s mom shared, “I love seeing how much Madison’s self-confidence has grown. She now believes she can do hard things and is excited to try what once felt impossible.”

Stories like Madison’s are made possible by the generosity of our community, helping more families across Central Florida access the support they need to thrive. Help us make this possible for families like Madison’s by donating at gooca.org/donate.

April has arrived, which means the debut of our Running Man Theatre production, AMAZED is just 14 days away.

AMAZED, proudly sponsored by Massey Services, Inc., and created in partnership with Orlando Family Stage, debuts Friday, April 17. Written by our very own OCA participant Edwin Vazquez, AMAZED tells the story of Will, a shy math genius, who is enchanted by Vixi, the equally brilliant cheerleading captain. Together, they’ll discover the perfect formula for love and dreams.

Come support our incredible performers and experience a production that celebrates creativity, inclusion, and talent.

Sage has been shining in OCA’s Early Intervention program for the past 14 months! 🌟 She’s learning to communicate her wants and needs, greeting others with a wave 👋, and practicing “ready hands” while waiting for her favorite activities.

She’s also growing more comfortable in group settings like circle time and meals with peers. And if there are bubbles involved… Sage is all smiles! 🫧

Progress does not always happen all at once. It happens in small, meaningful moments over time. 💙

A new skill. A shared experience. A sense of belonging.

For individuals with autism, each of these moments represents a step forward. At OCA, we are here to support those steps every day through programs that create opportunities for connection, growth, and community.

This Autism Awareness Month, we are raising $50,000 to support services for individuals and families across Central Florida.

With your contribution, more families can access the programs and community they need to keep moving forward.

Huge thank you to Force5 Inc. for being such an incredible OCA community partner! 💙

Robert, Patti, and the entire Evelyn family show up for OCA in so many meaningful ways, including traveling across the state each year to join us for Monster Dash, our fun, family-friendly run and walk event that supports OCA’s programs for people with autism and other disabilities 🏃‍♂️👟.

We are so grateful for your continued support and for being part of the OCA family. We truly could not do this without you!

Healthy habits in the making! 💙🥦

Our adult participants are showing up each week ready to learn and grow in health and nutrition through our partnership with Special Olympics Florida

These classes focus on building healthy habits, learning about smart food choices, and feeling confident in caring for their bodies. The engagement, participation, and conversations happening in each class have been incredible to see.

This program is made possible through the Autism Community Impact Grant awarded to us by the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation, helping support opportunities that promote health, independence, and lifelong wellness for the individuals we serve.

We’re proud of the commitment our participants make to their well-being and independence every week.

🎶 Every week, our amazing friends at Central Florida Vocal Arts bring the joy of music to OCA! Through engaging, hands-on music lessons, our participants get the chance to sing, move, learn, and express themselves in such meaningful ways. 💙

Music is so much more than fun (although there’s plenty of that!). It supports communication and speech, safe emotional expression, and strengthens memory and focus through rhythm and repetition.

Thank you, Central Florida Vocal Arts, for sharing your talent and heart with the OCA family! ✨🎤
