The Rescue Company 1 we provide critical transport education for flight and ground crews, and rescue classes.

The Rescue Company 1 was founded by Carlos Tavarez who was the first Firefighter / Paramedic on scene the night of the Pulse Nightclub shooting in 2016. Carlos had one mission; to train rescue & EMS professionals how to provide excellent treatment and care in difficult situations. At The Rescue Company 1, you will train with the best, so you’re prepared for the worst and "that others may live". Our instructors have multi-years of experience and are all currently active in their field so they can provide you with recent, realistic, and relevant training and an expert education in emergency medicine, flight medicine, emergency rescues, and critical care transports. We pride ourselves in specialized, intensive, and realistic training that goes far beyond a classroom or what you learn online. Classes are open to all EMS and rescue personnel, physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and anyone who is looking to advance their knowledge, skill sets, and take their training to the next level. We also provide training for the everyday citizen who wants to be prepared for a critical incident.

At The Rescue Company 1, the mission never stops. This week was all about pushing the boundaries of clinical excellence and building the next generation of first responders.

Elite Continuing Education
We were honored to conduct FP-C (Flight Paramedic Certified) Continuing Education for the members of the Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR) Aero Medical Program. 🚁💨 Keeping these elite flight crews at the top of their game ensures that the citizens of Martin County receive world-class care when every second counts.

The Next Generation
Our newest recruits were putting in the work! We just wrapped up Week Two of the EMT class at Southeastern Medical Academy. 🩺📖 These students are building the foundational “muscle memory” that will carry them throughout their careers.

We strive to provide expert education in emergency medicine, flight medicine, and critical care transportation medicine. The Rescue Company 1 is open to physicians, nurses, paramedics, and respiratory therapists looking to advance their knowledge and skill sets. We guarantee that students attending our classes will leave motivated, and with a sense of pride and confidence allowing them to perform exceptional medical care under any conditions.
