Pine Castle Chiropractic Center, Inc. seeks to protect the privacy of Protected Health Information stored on our computers or transmitted via the internet. Only authorized employees shall have access to computers on which Protected Patient Information is stored. All computers will be protected with a password. Only authorized employees may use a password to access computers. The password will be periodically changed and changed any time an authorized employee leaves the Practice’s employ. Only the owners of the practice will be authorized to take out of the Practice’s premises back up discs or flash drives onto which Protected Patient Information has been copied. The owner will take appropriate steps to protect the information on the discs or flash drives from unauthorized disclosure. Back up data will be stored in a secure place. Any electronic claims that may be filed using software that is approved for electronic transmissions of Protected Health Information and which protects the privacy of such information as it becomes available. The Practice will make certain that any billing services used by the Practice to electronically file claims on behalf of the Practice have a policy adopted that protects Protected Health Information and that uses software that is approved for electronic transmissions of Protected Health Information and which protects the privacy of such information.

DRIVERS! GOOD NEWS!!!

The State Of Florida is now in compliance with NRII as of 12/15/2025.
You will no longer need to go to the DMV to submit your DOT/ Medical Card.

Please allow yourself more time in the future as the process is taking 3 to 5 business days to upload to the system.

2 - Be ready to complete your personal and medical questions with accuracy to avoid delays or problems at DMV

GOOD NEWS DRIVERS!!

DOT EXAMS

There's some great news coming to help make things easier and succesfull on your end.

Important tips:

Beginning June 23, 2025, MEs will no longer need to issue the medical examiner’s certificate to CLP/CDL applicants/holders. These individuals will not need to carry their medical certificate as proof of medical certification. However, MEs can still make these available if they choose, or if requested by the driver.

1 - Make sure that all your information you are inputting is 100% correct and matches your driver license.
This information is very important to be done correctly

2 - If your DOT certificate is about to expire, make sure you make an appointment before the expiration date.

Some states, such as Georgia and Wisconsin, have already adopted this new system.

What does this mean for each of the parties involved?

Medical Examiners:

The only official record of the CLP/CDL applicant’s/holder’s qualification status will be the information electronically transmitted from the National Registry to the state driver’s licensing agency (SDLA). The SDLA will enter this information into the driver’s Commercial Driver’s License Information System (CDLIS) record.

If the driver’s identifying information (i.e., name, date of birth, license number and licensing State) is missing or incorrect, the system will not be able to match the medical examiner’s certificate information to the driver’s CDLIS record, resulting in an error message back to the ME. The ME will be responsible for correcting the error.

Drivers:

CLP/CDL applicants/holders will not need to carry their medical certificate as proof of medical certification. Non-CDL holders will need to continue carrying their medical certificate.

Physical qualification examinations should be scheduled well before a current medical certificate expires to prevent a gap in certification. Examination results may take three or more business days to be posted to the driver’s CDLIS record.

When the driver’s identifying information is incorrect, this will delay the transmission of the information to the SDLA, preventing the driver’s CDLIS record from being updated until the correct information is provided by the ME. In addition, this may cause drivers to return to the ME’s office to ensure the correct information is provided.

Motor Carriers:

Motor carriers will no longer be required to verify that the ME is listed on the National Registry. Motor carriers must use the driver’s motor vehicle record from the SDLA to document CLP/CDL applicants’/holders’ medical certification status.

For non-CDL holders, however, motor carriers will still need to verify that the ME is listed on the National Registry. A medical examiner’s certificate that has not been signed by a certified ME is not valid.
