Happy wold breastfeeding week to all my mommas! Whether you breastfed for 1 month or 12 months, I am so proud of you! The journey is not an easy one. I have battled birth trauma, postpartum anxiety, postpartum depression, and much more during these 6 months. I could have given up, because breastfeeding isn’t easy. It’s a sacrifice of our time and energy constantly. We are such warrior goddesses for giving our babies the best nutrition possible! Wow! First birth after maternity leave and it was nothing short of amazing. I am truly so impressed at how this first time mom chose to birth her baby. She wanted to give up so many times, but I pulled that strength right out of her so quick! I reminded her of her inner goddess that she just needed to find. I’m eternally grateful we aligned so I can help her bring her baby boy Earthside 💙

A holistic treatment to managing and coping with stress during labor is using essential oils. My personal favorite oil is Lavendar. It’s a very soft scent that I use almost daily. I even give my newborn baby baths in it along with a carrier oil. It’s great for soothing your joints as well 🫶🏽

If you’re told you have an ”incompetent cervix” by your provider, do not give up. Seek holistic treatment such as chiropractic care and pelvic floor therapy. The body can heal itself from anything 🙏🏽

Even if you don’t know what decision you want to make. I want to be there for you even if that decision is a hard one and you need resources. I’m more than happy to help discuss your options. When planning for a baby to arrive, there is so much pressure. Family and societal expectations suck. But the great thing about it all is that, this is your experience and no one gets to tell you how you want it to be. Not your OB, not your doula, not your best friend - you are in control! And as a doula, my job is to support you and lay out these options so you can make the best one. Love you ladies and take care care 💗

Wooo hoo! First baby of 2023 made it Earthside with us. After days of prodromal labor, this momma finally got a chance to meet her little girl. I’m so happy she chose me to support her. I will be doing roughly a week of postpartum care and I’m so excited 😆

Hi everyone! My name is Ivana Thomas and I am a certified holistic birth and postpartum doula. I serve all women in the Central Florida area in person and I am also a virtual doula.

My doula training was specifically tailored to me learning about natural healing, birth, and postpartum care with a HEAVY background on educating women of color on how to reduce the black maternal health care crisis in America.

My favorite things to do are hanging out with my friends, playing with my dog, learning new things, yoga, plants, and most importantly learning more about African spiritual practices and how my ancestors lived before they were stolen from our holy land. I also promote dōTERRA essential oils and make my own blends which I sell on my Etsy shop! Link in bio 😎

I have a Bachelors of Science degree in communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Central Florida and have worked with children for many years including nannying for families, speech therapy, tutoring & more!

I have always been a very nurturing person and my passion has always been surrounded by supporting children and families. I am all about supporting women regardless of what they choose to do with their bodies and educate them as much as I can to take control of their bodily autonomy.
