The Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation course I reviewed today confirmed that it's superior to get your calcium from foods rather than supplements. There are a lot of other nutrients involved in bone health and nature packages them just right.

A couple of months ago, I was lucky enough to receive a grant to complete a course in gluten-related disorders, sponsored by Schär. After passing my exam, they rewarded me with a sample box of gluten-free goodies! As I try these out, I'll let you know what I think.

The glycemic index has proven unreliable time and time again, yet it's persisted in some circles since its inception in the 80s. No, I don't recommend unlimited simple sugar, but let's not demonize certain fruits and veggies for performance in unrealistic laboratory conditions.
