January is Cervical Cancer Awareness month. Cervical cancer screening is covered by OCPS Cigna insurance with no office copay.

A screening test can find cervical cell changes that can lead to cervical cancer. Regular screening tests, such as the Pap test, almost always show these cell changes before they turn into cancer. It's important to follow up with your doctor after any abnormal test result so that abnormal cell changes can be managed. This may help prevent cervical cancer. Did you know cervical cancer is one of the most preventable types of cancer?

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month, and we want to share three things every woman and person with a cervix should know:

Screening is Key: Regular Pap tests and HPV tests can find cell changes before they ever turn into cancer.

The HPV Vaccine: This vaccine can prevent the majority of cervical cancer cases by protecting against the virus that causes them.

Early Detection Saves Lives: When found early, the 5-year survival rate for invasive cervical cancer is over 90%.
