👨‍⚕️✈️👶❤️ From one operating room to another — borders may divide us, but cleft care unites us 🌍💫

This was one of those special weeks in surgery — We loved hosting , sharing techniques, stories, and our shared passion for transforming little lives through cleft lip repair. 💪👃👶.

Next week he heads to tampa to visit our friends & to continue the wonderful exchange of camaraderie, education and techniques!

We learn so much from each other when we open our ORs, our minds, and our hearts. 🙌✨ Whether it’s refining a rotation advancement, adjusting markings for different anatomy, or simply swapping pearls of wisdom — every exchange makes us better surgeons for the kids we serve. 💬🧠✂️

This beautiful baby reminds us why we do what we do. One surgery, a lifetime of impact. 💙💥

10 years ago today, I married my best friend—the love of my life. 👸🏽🩺

What a journey it’s been.

From wild adventures to quiet moments, long hours in the hospital, shared dreams, cross-country moves, our ups & downs, and laughter-filled mornings—we’ve built a life full of love, growth, and meaning.

This week in France has been the perfect way to celebrate it all. 🇫🇷🥂 We’ve made new memories, soaked in the beauty of this world—big and small—and reminded ourselves just how lucky we are to share this life together.

Soon we head home to the two greatest joys of our life—our little family of four ❤️—and I couldn’t be more thankful for the past decade or more excited for what’s ahead.

Sabrina—thank you for being my everything. 💕

April Fools, But Make It 40 & Legendary

Today is no ordinary day—it’s April 1st, a day traditionally reserved for pranks and fake lottery tickets. But for our family, it’s something very special. It’s the birthday of two of the most important, brilliant, and amazing people we know: my incredible wife and my amazing dad.

Let’s start with my wife, who’s turning 40, but no one would ever know. She’s the queen of our home, the MVP of our lives, and the surgical magician who handles blood vessels thinner than a strand of hair like she’s playing a fine violin 🎻. A microsurgeon, a mama, a partner, a powerhouse. She somehow juggles ORs, tiny humans 👶, chaotic mornings, and still looks like she stepped out of a Vogue shoot ✨.

Turning 40 has never looked this good—and frankly, we’re all suspicious 👀😂😘. She’s beautiful, brilliant, and can wield a scalpel with the grace of a ballerina and the precision of a NASA engineer 🧠 🚀 💃. She’s the kind of woman who makes excellence look effortless and motherhood look magical.

And then there’s my dad—the legend, the OG, the urgent care doc ‍who has seen everything and still greets each new patient with kindness, curiosity, and probably a dad joke 🤣. The man has never ending compassion, unbelievable empathy, energy that defies logic, and a heart so big it spills over into every room he walks into ❤️💕.

He’s also a legend on the dance floor & on the race track 🏃🏽‍♂️, with hips that don’t lie and the knees of a 20-year-old that let him get low low low low low low low low 🕺.

He taught me the value of service, humility, and how to find humor even in the toughest situations. He’s quick with a laugh, even quicker with a hug 🤗, and he’s the absolute backbone of our family 👑.

So today, we celebrate these two giants in our lives. Two of the most gifted, loving, funny, and caring people we know. Two doctors. Two geniuses. Two absolute legends.

Thank you for being the heart, soul, and lifeblood of our family ❤️‍🔥.
