Both of these tattoos are two years healed. When this client first came to me, she was very upset that her tattoos (not originally done by me) had faded so quickly after only two years. I did my best to give her more depth and saturation than her previous artist did, so when she came back to me two years later, she had a much more saturated result that will give her the longevity she is looking for. Different techniques offer different results. It's important to know what you are looking for in the long term and that both you and your artist understand these goals in order to give you the best results.

Here are photos that show NAC tattoos on flat skin post breast reconstruction. The top photo shows the tattoos immediately after the session. The bottom photo shows the tattoos three weeks following the first session. You can see the difference in how the tattoo heals versus how it looks initially. As promised, the redness of the irritation of the skin subsides, and you are left with the more neutral pigment colors we selected together. As the tattoo ages, natural softening of the tattoo will occur, but the contrast created by the highlights and shadows will remain, continuing to give the look of protrusion.
