Providence Counseling Welcome to Providence! Are you in a season of life where your circumstances seem to be overwhelming?

Are you losing hope or just want a change from your normal? Often, we need someone to talk to in a safe and understanding environment. Providence provides space for our clients to unpack, process, and gain a healthy insight into their life. Occasionally, there are times in our lives when we need to reach out and have someone to partner with. Providence would be honored to be that helping hand. Providence Counseling Center is staffed with Licensed Counselors and Student Interns trained to give assistance, guidance, and support to you during this difficult time. Parents, summer is coming! Reminder to start planning now. Be sure to plan for your children to spend time with you, rest and play. Plan for things they are interested in and things you know they need to do (ie. reading). Sitting around and playing video games every day is not healthy. Please make some plans. There are times our needs are met without us doing a thing, but most times our needs are met by God providing a way for us to be a part of the process.

Example: The farmer sees to it that the seeds are planted, and God provides the sun and the rain for it to grow. Does God need us? No. He could speak it into place; however our actions show God that we are trusting Him when we plant seeds. It is in His hands.

Depression and anxiety are distinct mental health conditions, but they often overlap. Studies indicate that 60-75% of individuals with depression also experience anxiety, and about half of those with chronic anxiety show clinically significant depressive symptoms. This co-occurrence, known as comorbidity, can make symptoms more persistent, impair daily functioning, and increase the risk of su***de.
