Today, we remember Chief Special Warfare Operator (SEAL) Eduardo Valadez, who died on December 19, 2017, and remember Commander (SEAL) Robert Ramirez III, who died on December 19, 2022.

Today we honor Frederick Joseph Lance of Fremont, Ohio, who passed away on this day in 2001. Frederick served in the Army and is remembered by his son, Mike Lance :

"The Vietnam War took so much from dad. He tried to live a normal life but the war was the elephant in the room, always there but no one talked about it. Agent Orange eventually got the best of him and he was taken away from us way too soon at the young age of 53. He missed out on so much life. He missed getting to see his sons thrive in their careers as teachers, and coaches in the sports he taught them to fall in love with. He missed out on watching his sons become great men. But most of all he missed out what what was his greatest regret in life, not seeing his five awesome grandkids come into the world. Even in passing he will NEVER be forgotten because he will forever be in our hearts and periodically he let's us know he is still watching over us as our guardian angel."
