The Sand Castle

Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock. The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock. Matthew 7:24'25 WEB.

When I was little and stayed with my mom for the summer, she took us to the beach. My brother and I built a giant sandcastle that day. We put a lot of work into it and even added windows. But later, the tide came in and washed our castle away. When the water receded, there was hardly a trace of our masterpiece. It had failed to endure the test of time, and the crashing waves hadn't helped either.

Keep Jesus in the center of your life. It is easy for other things to become your focus, and you can start to build everything around that instead. Be careful, for your life can come tumbling down when the tide rolls in and the shifting sands change.

Jobs end, people change, beauty fades, and children grow up. Everything we can see with our natural eye is temporary and will change over time. All these things have a place in your life, but they cannot be the center of it, for when they change, your life will too. You will never be stable until you develop that personal relationship with Jesus Christ. The unchanging Rock of Ages (Isaiah 26:4). Build your life on the Rock, not on the sand.

Build your life around Jesus, and you can still enjoy the rest. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33). You won't miss out, for He will take care of you. He is the unchanging, everlasting Rock. The ones who trust in Him will not be wiped out like our castle was when the tide came in.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I want You to be the center of my life. Please help me put things in the proper perspective and get my priorities in order. Give me the grace to live a life that is pleasing in Your sight. In the name of Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen!

It's our monthly pot luck dinner and increment cross recognition. Special speaker, So bring a dish of your favorite thing to eat and enjoy the fellowship. Thanking God for helping us. It all starts at 6:15pm. See ya there!!

We're meeting at 7pm tonight. Hope to have big group. We'll be praising the Lord in music and word. Talking about his awesome goodness. Hope to see you all there.

We will be having our potluck dinner tonight and increment crosses. There will be lots of great food. This will start at 6:30pm. Hope to see you all at Salty Church.

Awesome meeting tonight. HONESTY was the subject tonight. There was a lot of sharing. We will not meet next Thursday Christmas Eve, but will meet New Years Eve for our end of the month pot luck. What better way to ring in the new year. Hope to see you all then.

The meeting tonight was awesome. We spoke on HONESTY. Many shared. We will not have a Recovery meeting next Thursday Christmas Eve. Salty Church is having a special Christmas Eve service. They are having a 3pm 4:30pm and 6pm service. If you want to go you must register on saltychurch.org to help set up for social distancing. Our next Recovery Meeting will be on New Year's Eve. We have our potluck dinner. A special speaker and sobriety increment crosses. Hope to see you there.

There will be no meeting today. Every one have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving. Remember all that Jesus gave us to be thankful for. We will meet next Thursday 12/3 at 7pm.

Recovery Life will not be meeting this Thursday. But we will meet the following Thursday Dec 3rd at 7pm. We hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving and lets not let us forget all Jesus has done for us.
