Dr. Timothy L. McNeil, LMHC We seek to supplement the work and ministry of local churches by maintaining the identity of a faith based Counseling Center.

Dr. Timothy McNeil is the Executive Director of the Genesis Counseling Center in Ormond Beach, Florida, and the author of Discover Your Destiny - The Soul, The Self, And The Search. The GCC strives to honor the values of the Judeo-Christian traditions by affirming the worth of persons created in the image of God, binding the wounds of human brokenness, and creating an environment for spiritual and emotional healing to occur. The mission of the Genesis Counseling Center is to provide the highest quality of pastoral care and counseling in connection with United Methodist Churches of the East Central District, churches and faith centers of other denominations, as well as the Greater West Volusia community at large. We are committed to reach out to meet the needs and demands of the secular community, which may seek the support, outreach, and insight of a faith-based counseling center.

Yesterday I met with a 68 year old woman who is compromised because of asthma, crippled by arthritis, and in chronic pain due to severe 20-25 all day migraines per month. She came in to discuss her DNR. In triaging her own medical situation she indicated if she becomes infected with Covid19 she would forego receiving medical treatment and give up a hospital bed in order for someone who has a better chance of survival to live. She indicated she has lived a full life, raised three kids, and has no regrets. We sat in the sadness as she spoke about telling her adult children of her decision. Please pray for M. and for the thousands of others who will make this decision or it will be made for them.
