Yesterday, we hosted an Art Walk & Poetry Café, and it was truly a wonderful afternoon! Our residents showcased their creative talents through beautiful works of art, original poetry, and short stories.

We’re also proud to have talented resident authors who displayed books they’ve written—such an inspiring experience for everyone who attended.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our residents for sharing their incredible work and making the event so special!

We hosted our very first Feeding the Culture event, and it was an incredible experience for our residents, staff, and guests! This month’s theme was Greek Yiayia Night 🇬🇷

Together with Chef Andrew, we had so much fun preparing a delicious meal as a group—making it even more special when we all sat down to enjoy dinner together. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn more about Greek culture, food, and traditions.

A special thank you to Comfort Keepers for joining us and providing a fantastic Greek yogurt bar, and to our resident Suz for sharing a beautiful Greek dance performance!

The meal was absolutely delicious, and the memories we created made it even better. We can’t wait for next month’s Feeding the Culture event!

We welcomed our newest residents with a “Honey of a Good Time” Welcome Home Party! 🐝🍯 The afternoon was filled with a delightful honey and bee theme, featuring delicious baked goods made with honey.

It was such a fun time getting to know our new neighbors and spending quality moments visiting together. A special thank you to Chris from Dining Services and our very own resident Vicki for creating such terrific, tasty treats. We also appreciate Paula from Concierge Home Care, Pam from Apex Health and Rehab, and Tonya from Complete Medical Healthcare for joining us.

It was truly a honey of a good time! 💛

We had a terrific time on Tuesday celebrating St. Patrick's Day. We held our annual St. Patty’s Day scooter races—congratulations to our winners, Jane, Don, and Judie! 🏁

We also crowned our Best Dressed, and the honor went to Bill and Shirley, who were decked out head-to-toe in green! 💚

The festivities included green beer, festive treats, and a fantastic show by the Ormond Beach Community Entertainers—featuring our very own resident, Sue! They put on an incredible performance filled with singing and dancing.

It was truly a fun-filled day for everyone! 🎉

We had a wonderful time at our Flowers & Mimosas flower arranging class! 🌸🥂 We got creative and made beautiful arrangements with colorful spring flowers. It was such a fun time enjoying each other’s company while sipping on tasty mimosas. A perfect way to celebrate spring! 🌷✨

This week we proudly hosted our Annual Senior Olympics in celebration of the Winter Olympic Games! ❄️🏅

Our residents competed in a variety of fun and creative events including Pool Noodle Javelin, Darts, Wii Bowling, and Axe Throwing. We also enjoyed group competitive games where staff and residents teamed up together — and let’s just say, the laughter was nonstop!

It was a week filled with friendly competition, great sportsmanship, and so many smiles. Congratulations to all of our winners and participants — you made this event truly special! 🎉👏

We ended our week in Paris with a wonderful “Afternoon in Paris”! ✨

Our community was transformed into a charming Parisian café, complete with delicious food and wine. Residents enjoyed the sounds of an accordion player strolling from table to table, followed by a lively piano sing-along that had everyone joining in. 🎶

The dining room was beautifully decorated, and everyone embraced the theme wearing berets and scarves. From the music to the décor, it truly felt like we had stepped right onto the streets of Paris. 🗼

It was a magical ending to a fantastic week of exploring all things Paris!

We are celebrating a week in Paris here at Ormond in the Pines! 🇫🇷✨

We kicked off the week with our Travelogue Armchair Travelers, who enjoyed watching A Summer in Paris. Residents also had fun viewing Paris-themed movies that transported us straight to the City of Light.

The creativity continued with Paris-themed crafts, where residents decoupaged miniature Eiffel Tower masterpieces. 🗼🎨
