Friends. I need a computer person desperately! Are there any traveling computer people??? Our xray machine won’t work because of the computer…. And we know nothing about it. I can’t even explain what’s going on. Other than it won’t even turn on ( the computer) you can message here or call the clinic. We are here till 4 today if anyone can come by . Any help is appreciated!

I want to personally thank each and every single person who took the time to write a nice message and to reach out by personal message. It means more than you can imagine. The whole situation has been blown out of proportion. All Dr Freiberg cares about is helping animals. He doesn’t do facebook but he has a general idea what’s going on. I try not to bother him with this kind of stuff. Because like I said all that matters is that the pet was taken care of. It’s been a pretty hard few weeks with some sick cases and unfortunately quite a few euthanasias. Several emergencies and The Dr has had his own health issues and severalnifvhisbown drs appointments. Every single sick animal and euthanasias mean something to all of our staff. Some more than others but every singe one takes a piece of us . We have a very small staff so we are all involved with every case . I wouldn’t have someone work for me that doesn’t care. So again thank you all for the kind messages. I would like to put this behind us and move on. And just for future notice. Dr Freiberg is in office Monday -Thursdays until at least noon. We do everything in our power to get everyone in that needs in. Some days we see 18-22 people o that time ftame. We understand that an emergency in your opinion is the most important thing in your world at that time but isint always an emergency. If we think it’s an emergency we will see you. If we can’t we will advice you to seek medical attention elsewhere. There fore you should have a back up plan just incase of a real emergency . If the Dr is not in the office the staff can not help you. Technitions are not veterinarians. They can offer advice but can’t treat an animal. Much love to all our clients and it was really nice to hear from some of our friends that have moved on. Merry Christmas and let’s hope for a better day tomorrow. From now the complaint department should be directed to Wilson. He can handle any situation.

So it’s been brought to my attention tonight that a clients is slamming us on his Facebook and aslo google. NOT that I have to set the record straight but I feel like I need to. This clients stated He has been a client for over 20 years. He is always treated well and always leaves happy and praising the staff. From what I was told He came In today after Dr Freiberg had already left. (After 2pm) Dr Freiberg has only had morning hours for over 3 years. This client knows this because he has complained to me before about the doctors hrs and not being around when he needs him. This isint the first time he has had a meltdown and screamed at the staff. He came in today and stated yelling and screaming at the staff because Dr Freibergs was not there. DR Freiberg does not live at the clinic he works his shift and he goes home. He also lives almost 30 minutes from the clinic. So it’s not a quick turnaround to come back to the clinic. This client ALWAYS praises the Dr and the employee that he was so mad at today. I understand that he was upset. But the yelling and screaming and accusing the staff that it is their fault if that cat dies if just not acceptable. I get that Dr Freibergs hours won’t work for everyone but they work for him and is allowing him to continue working. They also work for the hundreds of clients we see weekly. I am also aware that the phones are hard to get through. They are and this has been our biggest problem for 20 years. We are a very busy single vet practice and we literally do the best we can do. BUT If you literally scream at the staff and make them cry you will be sent your records. It’s not acceptable. We book weeks out and we also have emergencys every single day. Along with Emwrgecy surgery’s during staffs lunch hour almost daily. So all the people who are backing and telling him to slam and burn the vet please know that the vet did nothing wrong expect leave for the day after seeing 15 people including 3 emergencys. If you would have heard how this man screamed and threatened three girls I think you would understand why he was sent his records. I hope this clears up any misunderstanding. This isn’t about the DR this was a management decision.

Went to the southeast volusia humane society today to give some vaccines. They have some absolutely beautiful babies up for adoption! several young kittens and adult cats. Here are a few babies I took pics of.. All so sweet. If you’re looking for your next fur baby go to Southeast! This is just a few. The baby chihuahuas stole my heart they were so lovable but scared.

We hope that everyone is doing much better today and that you and your pets are all safe and have power. We will be open tomorrow normal hours. We ask that you please be patient as I'm sure we will be inundated with calls and sick animals. We will do our very best to see everyone that needs to be seen.
I would also like to take this time to address some rumors that We have been hearing about Dr. Freiberg retiring, Dr. Freiberg is not retiring anytime soon. The fact of the matter is that Dr. Freiberg is almost 70 years old, (I know he doesn't look at or act his age) but he is, and for that matter he has cut his hours just a bit. We are still working Monday through Thursday and still seeing nearly 20 people a day. We still volunteer every single month the first weekend to give vaccines. Doc has been a single practitioner for over 40 years and while we have brought in associates it has never worked for him. We will try and have relief vets come in to give him some much needed time off. There will be a day that he fully retires and we will address that when the time comes but until then he is in the office Monday through Thursday until 1pm. We are slowing opening the practice back up to new clients and those who have requested records we will send them as soon as we can. We completely understand needing someone who has more hours or even weekend hours. It would not be a bad idea to have a backup or even a second veterinarian in case of emergency or if we are booked way out you can still be seen. If you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me, I will answer. If you hear rumors you can help by letting them know that Doc is here to stay 🙂 at least for a couple more years!
