Losing a pet is a profound, often traumatic, experience equivalent to losing a family member, causing intense, valid grief, including shock, guilt, and deep sadness. Coping involves allowing yourself to feel the pain, establishing routines, creating memorials, and seeking support. There is no "right" time to heal or get another pet. Reach out if you can't get past the pain on your own.

"Don't take the bait" as said from the Governor of MN. The anger out there is like a virus spreading and becoming more powerful. Moral anger is for a cause. Peaceful protests are okay. Do what you can to not let it become destructive. Do everything you can to ensure your inner peace is protected and not disrupted. If you're not sure how to do this, reach out to someone positive in your life, practice calming and pleasurable activities, and consider connecting a provider who is well versed at anger management.
