Get ready for the "Twin Celestial Event of the Century!" On August 12, 2026, we are in for a breathtaking back-to-back show that you won't want to miss.

🔭 The Lineup:
Day: Total Solar Eclipse 🌑
The moon will completely block out the sun, turning day into night and revealing the stunning solar corona.

Night: Perseid Meteor Shower 🌠
The peak of the most famous meteor shower of the year will light up the dark skies with dozens of "shooting stars" per hour.

🌍 Where to Watch:
The Total Solar Eclipse will be visible along a path crossing through Greenland, Iceland, and Northern Spain. If you aren’t in the path of totality, you’ll still likely see a spectacular partial eclipse!
The Perseids will be visible globally, but the best views will be in areas with low light pollution once the sun goes down.

Look west just after sunset around March 7–8 and you’ll spot a pretty pairing low in the twilight: Venus and Saturn sharing the evening sky.

✨ Venus will be the showstopper — that bright “evening star” you can’t miss.
🪐 Saturn will be much dimmer, hanging nearby like a subtle bonus for patient eyes.

How to see them:

Step outside 10–30 minutes after sunset

Find a clear view of the western horizon (no trees/buildings if you can help it)

Start with Venus, then look close by for Saturn

Binoculars make Saturn way easier to pick out in the glow

📸 Pro tip: try Night Mode on your phone, steady it against something, and include a tree or rooftop silhouette for scale.
