Not every day will feel like sunshine 🌞 and unicorns 🦄…

Some days will feel heavy.
Some days you’ll question whether all the effort is even worth it.
And some days you’ll feel tempted to throw your hands up and say, “What’s the point?”

That’s normal.

Progress isn’t built on the easy days.
It’s built on the days when you don’t feel like showing up… and you do anyway.

Menopause symptoms nobody warned you about…

Most women know about the usual suspects —
sleep struggles, brain fog, and a slowing metabolism.

But midlife hormone shifts can show up in ways that feel completely random… and honestly confusing.

Here are 5 lesser-known symptoms that might be quietly connected:

👉 Worsening allergies or food sensitivities
Hormonal shifts can impact your immune system, making you more reactive to foods, environmental triggers, or even skincare products.

👉 Weaker grip strength
Lower estrogen can affect muscle function — suddenly jars feel tighter and heavy bags feel heavier.

👉 Gum sensitivity or more dental issues
Hormone changes can increase gum inflammation, sensitivity, and risk for gum disease.

👉 Changes in taste or smell

Eating healthy meals doesn’t need to take up all your time…

My new favorite go-to lunch when I need something quick and easy is this sweet kale chopped salad kit plus a chicken breast.

It is so simple…

I just combine the pepitas & cranberries with the salad mix and add some chia seeds for a little extra crunch. Instead of using the packaged dressing it comes with, I use my own balsamic vinegar (this helps reduce my consumption of sugar and unhealthy fats 👍).

I then heat up the chicken, grab a couple of hard-boiled eggs (you can buy these already cooked if you’d like 🙂) and it's ready to go!

This lunch provides ample protein to keep you feeling full and energized throughout the afternoon!

The fiber-rich cruciferous vegetables support estrogen metabolism, enhance digestion, promote satiety, and aid in detoxification. The chia seeds and pepitas help support hormonal health and stabilize blood sugar levels, which can help reduce energy crashes and cravings.

Not everything is what it seems…

I hate to be the one to break it to you but there is no “magic pill” that will suddenly change everything always and forever…

Yes, there are strategies that will greatly improve weight loss efforts, but this doesn’t mean that you will never have a “bad day”...

There will still be days when….

Your overwhelm and frustration gets the best of you.

Despite sticking to a “perfect” plan…things will go off the rails.

You binge-eat a bag of Oreo cookies
You hit the snooze button and don’t have enough time to pack your lunch for the day
You decide to watch TV instead of going for a walk

I just want you to know that this is completely normal and a one-off moment or bad day doesn't need to turn into anything more…

they make you blame yourself, restrict harder, and feel like you’re failing — even when you’re trying everything.

Myth #1 👉 “I just need to be stricter with my diet.”

Where I live is beautiful because it feels like home — not just a place.

Questions to ask yourself if you’re DONE fighting your midlife body and carrying this weight:

WHY do I want this weight gone—really?
Not the polite answer.
The honest one.
The one about the jeans, the mirrors, the photos, the confidence you miss.

HOW would my life feel different if this weight wasn’t controlling me anymore?
More energy.
More ease.
More freedom in your own skin.

What am I most looking forward to when this finally shifts?
Feeling attractive again.
Saying yes to plans without panic.
Getting dressed without that heavy sigh.

What has stopped me so far?
Doing “everything right” with nothing to show for it?

Every morning, I’m dragging myself out the door like a responsible adult…
