😂 April Fools from the Osakis Fire Department!
We are beyond excited to announce that the Alexandria Fire Department has generously donated their brand new ladder truck to us!
After they pulled up and saw that we already have the perfect fire truck color (that classic Osakis yellow), they decided it was only right to paint theirs to match… and then hand it over to us!
Thank you to our friends in Alexandria for this incredible “gift” — Ladder 28 just got a serious upgrade!
(And yes… this is 100% an April Fools’ joke 😂)
Stay safe out there, and remember: yellow is clearly the superior fire truck color!

Big shoutout to the dedicated members of the Osakis Fire Department! 💪🔥🚒

Our volunteers recently completed an intense training session focused on firefighter rescue (rapid intervention to save a downed brother/sister in the line of duty) combined with CPR drills in full gear. These skills are critical for keeping our firefighters safe while they protect our community.

Training like this ensures we're always ready for the toughest calls—whether it's a structure fire, medical emergency, or mutual aid response. Proud of this team for staying sharp and committed!
Thank you to everyone who participated and to our partners for any support. Your service makes Osakis and surrounding townships safer every day.

🌟 Community Notice from the Osakis Fire Department 🌟

Good Morning, Osakis!

A quick heads-up for tomorrow night: Our firefighters will be conducting a joint training session with the Alexandria Fire Department from approximately 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM.
We'll be working down by the public access near the Panther Distillery building, the elevator.
You may see emergency vehicles, lights, or activity in that area—rest assured, it's just routine, hands-on training to keep our teams prepared and ready to serve the community.
For everyone's safety during the session, we kindly ask drivers and pedestrians to give our crews plenty of space around Central and Lake streets. Please avoid parking or lingering in those areas if you can, and use extra caution if passing through the vicinity.
We greatly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support—it helps us do our jobs effectively! A big thank you to our partners at the Alexandria Fire Department for teaming up with us.
