More than 30 years ago, when Doug and Mark Herriott graduated from Optometry school, they knew they wanted to help people see better and lead healthier lives. Serendipity brought them to Osawatomie and these two brothers from South Dakota started an optometric practice that has become a significant part of this community. Dr Kari Burchett joined the practice in 2005 and hasn’t looked back either. Although they outgrew an office or two over the years, the doctors at Eyecare Associates of Osawatomie are still working toward that mission of taking care of their patients. We try to focus on you as a whole person and not just how well you can read a chart.

We want to know you. We’d miss a lot if we didn’t know your passions, aspirations, and interests; just like a good friend, we can’t serve you best if we don’t understand your life and circumstances. Dr Burchett, Dr Doug and Dr Mark set out to treat your whole self, and it shows in the conversations you’ll hear if you wander the halls here. Talks about flying Cessna 185s mingle with good reads or the latest hiking adventures. We want you to see well in all that you do, and we look forward to learning your story during your next visit.
