The year 2025 was a positive one for our ambulance service. We received a grant to replace our aging roof and flooring, and also installed a new door entry system to enhance facility security. Furthermore, we upgraded our heating system to mini-split electric HVAC units. Our service maintained adequate staffing for both units during the Columbia Fire Company's 4th of July Celebration, the annual Mountain Top Fire Company Homecoming Celebration, and the 133rd Central District Fireman's Convention, including standby coverage for convention events. During this period, Ambulance 13-1 experienced engine failure, necessitating a motor replacement, which was efficiently completed by C&M Auto, returning the vehicle to service within two weeks. Throughout the year, our members completed continuing education hours to maintain EMS licensure and enhance community service. We participated in multiple parades and local community events throughout the summer including Kids Day during the 4th of July Celebration, Kids Day during Heritage Days, and the Osceola Mills Spirt Days. We also provided rehab services for a few strenous firefighting classes hosted by the Columbia Fire Company ensuring the well being of our local volunteer firefighters. Below are our 2025 EMS statistics. We anticipate continued improvement and transparency in 2026.
