🍬 It’s National Tootsie Roll Day and we’ve been “rolling” around to treat some of our friends in healthcare.

Fun facts: The Tootsie Roll was created in 1896 and initially sold for 1 penny! In 1905 they were delivered by horse and buggy. In 1916 they used a truck, and since today it is cold and snowing, we did too! 😄

Manderley’s tip of the day: Use today as an excuse to eat an entire bag of Tootsie Rolls without feeling guilty! 😉

The Director of Nursing & Assistant Director of Nursing are both highly respected leadership positions responsible for the overall operation of the nursing department. These roles combine clinical expertise with administrative oversight to ensure residents receive high-quality care while maintaining strict compliance with state and federal regulations.

The DON and ADON are the two key players in planning, organizing, and directing all nursing services according to physician orders, ensuring that the residents need are met. Their responsibilities include clinical oversight, regulatory compliance, staff management, quality assurance, patient care, collaboration with the ED, Medical Directors, family members and much more!

At Manderley Healthcare Center, Linda (DON) and Bridget (ADON) do an excellent job at wearing multiple hats in their daily routines to ensure that we provide the best care possible at our facility! 👩‍⚕️

We appreciate their hard work & dedication! 🥰
