Here’s the steps we took:

1) Metabolic support for the first part of the program:
- muscle building focus
- hitting protein goals with consistent meals
- meal planning and prioritizing lunch as a teacher
- focusing on daily step counts

2) Fat loss phase for the second part!
- precision with meals and calorie intake
- keeping consistent with workouts
- hitting fiber!
- focusing on the weekends

Cutting calories and doing more cardio isn’t a plan for term weight loss success 🩷 let me tell you why!!!

🥙 CALORIE INTAKE 🍳
1,200 calories is the amount of calories your toddler is eating ;) not you, as the mother of your family!!! If you’ve ever eaten 1,200 calories for a week, you saw results on the scale, but the thing is: it’s not representing the goal you’re ACTUALLY striving for.

Your goal is nourishment and strength. 1,200 calories requires you to sacrifice muscle and end up super hungry by day 7.

You end up repeating a cycle of “weight loss doesn’t work for me” 🫶🏼

🏋️ EXERCISE 💪
Cardio has a time a place, but it’s not a prime muscle-building activity. Changing your body composition requires challenging yourself with outside resistance, over a period of time. Running burns more calories in the moment, but that’s not the primary goal ;)

When you build muscle, you build a healthy metabolism! With our metabolism in mind, we need to be spending our 30 minutes wisely! Pick up some weights, it’s a long term investment 💕

Meet Emma!! She’s a working mom of 3 incredible (young ☺️) kiddos, and after her last baby she felt the pull to say YES to herself in an effort to make lasting changes in how she eats, exercises, and lives.

The primary goal? Being her healthiest and strongest self for her family! To have energy, confidence, and simply feel goood 🩷🌷

SHE DID IT 😭🙌🏻 and we both cried happy tears at what she’s accomplished the last 6 months.
Down 25 lbs of body fat, countless inches lost, strength gained, and feeling that confidence for the first time since before having kids 🥹

Emma said it herself: just say yes to yourself, you won’t regret it.

So proud of this girl!

Healthy fats are soooo important, yes, but if you’re unaware of your overall calorie intake, you’ll constantly be confused why the “healthy foods” aren’t working.

It’s also looking at:
• protein intake (the percent breakdown of each macro)
• fiber intake, a super easy point to miss
• meal timing and frequency
• having a healthy relationship with food (eating the birthday cake!)

Don’t guess your way through healthy eating and sustainable weight loss!

Today, Abbie (an incredible mom of three), who is inside the Sustainable Fat Loss Solution, told me:
“I don’t even feel like I’m on a diet! I’m just changing the way I live. This is exactly what I needed!” 😭😭
She’s down 15 lbs of body fat in 12 weeks and our next step is to reboot her metabolism so she can gain more strength! She’s obsessed with her workouts and has a big goal around micronutrient intake this next month (fruits & veggies).
