Cutting calories and doing more cardio isn’t a plan for term weight loss success 🩷 let me tell you why!!!
🥙 CALORIE INTAKE 🍳
1,200 calories is the amount of calories your toddler is eating ;) not you, as the mother of your family!!! If you’ve ever eaten 1,200 calories for a week, you saw results on the scale, but the thing is: it’s not representing the goal you’re ACTUALLY striving for.
Your goal is nourishment and strength. 1,200 calories requires you to sacrifice muscle and end up super hungry by day 7.
You end up repeating a cycle of “weight loss doesn’t work for me” 🫶🏼
🏋️ EXERCISE 💪
Cardio has a time a place, but it’s not a prime muscle-building activity. Changing your body composition requires challenging yourself with outside resistance, over a period of time. Running burns more calories in the moment, but that’s not the primary goal ;)
When you build muscle, you build a healthy metabolism! With our metabolism in mind, we need to be spending our 30 minutes wisely! Pick up some weights, it’s a long term investment 💕
