Meet Goose 🐾

Goose is a 3-year-old Goldendoodle and the unofficial mascot of our West Dubuque clinic. Around here, he is also one of the most popular reinforcers in the building.

From quick hello breaks to celebrating big moments, Goose helps motivate our clients and adds a little extra joy to the day. Sometimes the best reinforcement has four paws and a wagging tail.

Safe to say Goose has a lot of fans.

Throwback to earlier this month when our clinics celebrated Read Across America Week.

Clients had a blast trying new things and getting creative. From green eggs and ham taste tests to fish crafts and even a special visit from the Lorax, it was a week full of fun and learning.

Moments like these help build important skills like trying new foods, creativity, turn taking, and sharing experiences with peers. Plus, there were a lot of smiles along the way.

Safe to say both clients and teammates had a pretty great time.

World Behavior Analysis Day

Today we celebrate World Behavior Analysis Day.

Behavior analysis is the science of understanding how behavior works and how environments influence learning and change. Its principles are used in many areas including education, healthcare, safety, and organizational performance.

At Caravel, we apply this science through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to help children with autism build meaningful skills such as communication, social interaction, independence, and daily living. These skills support greater independence, expanded opportunities, and better outcomes for the children and families we serve.

We are grateful for the BCBAs, behavior technicians, clinical teams, and support teams who bring this science into practice every day.
