What a wonderful afternoon at Bella Vista! Our residents were treated to a lively performance by musician and entertainer Jim Vollmer, who filled our community with classic country, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, big band, polkas, and waltzes that had toes tapping and voices singing along.

Thank you, Jim, for sharing your talent, stories, and warm energy with us today—you brought back so many special memories for our residents. We are so grateful for entertainers like you who help make Bella Vista feel like home.

Our hearts (and plates!) are full after a wonderful Easter celebration here at Bella Vista. Residents, families, and little ones joined us for a festive brunch, bingo, and a cheerful Easter egg hunt for the kids.

Our amazing kitchen team went all out with a made-to-order omelet station, a ham carving station, and a beautiful assortment of desserts that everyone enjoyed. We even had a special visit from the Easter Bunny, bringing smiles, giggles, and plenty of photo opportunities.

Thank you to our staff, families, and volunteers for helping make today so memorable for our Bella Vista community. Happy Easter from all of us at Bella Vista!

Yesterday we had the privilege of hosting Chris Henry, Museum Manager at the EAA Aviation Museum here in Oshkosh, for a special presentation at Bella Vista. He shared the remarkable life and accomplishments of American astronaut Frank Borman, commander of Apollo 8 and a pioneer of human spaceflight, along with the story of the personal memorabilia Borman chose to donate to EAA so future generations can experience this history up close.

Our residents were captivated by the photos, artifacts, and behind-the-scenes stories from Borman’s career, and we are so grateful to Chris and EAA for bringing this piece of aviation and space history right to our community.

Today’s Chili Cookoff at Bella Vista was a sizzling success! 🌶️

From mild and savory to firehouse hot, our residents and staff had a blast taste-testing pots of chili, sharing laughs, and warming up this winter day together. A huge thank you to our fantastic community partners Senior Stride, Oasis Senior Advisors, Visiting Angels, McCleer Law Offices, and Unity Hospice for serving as our celebrity judges and adding to the fun.

And a big shout-out to our musical guest, Fernando, for keeping toes tapping and the room rockin’ with live music all lunch hour!

Drumroll please… congratulations to Wendy Van Ahn for taking home the Gold Medal for Top Chili! 🏅🌶️ Your chili brought the heat and the heart.
