Welcome Hanna Shively, ARNP, to Mahaska Health! Hanna will be joining Dr. Pettis on the Ear, Nose and Throat team. Hanna is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who provides compassionate, personalized care by listening to each patient and supporting their values and preferences.

Hanna earned both her Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from Purdue Global University. She specialized in Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat) at the University of Iowa, where she built a strong foundation in ENT care. As a Travel Nurse, she also gained experience in intensive care, medical-surgical, progressive care, long-term care, and emergency department settings.

Originally from Albia, Iowa, Hanna appreciates the community focus at Mahaska Health and enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, and traveling with her family. We are honored to welcome Hanna to Mahaska Health, providing compassionate care and trusted expertise to our community.

We are honored to share community members Joyce and Chuck Webb recently presented handmade, beautiful red, white, and blue quilts to two Mahaska Health veterans in recognition for their service to our nation. The quilts were gifted to Kindal Donnelly, Mahaska Health Executive Director, Army National Guard, and Stephen Mineart, MD, Mahaska Health Family Medicine physician, Navy Reserves. Kindal and Dr. Mineart were selected from our Mahaska Health veterans in a drawing. Thank You to all veterans for your service. We are so grateful for the Webb's and their dedication to serving our veterans. Thank you for your kindness!

In honor of World Diabetes Day and Diabetes Awareness Month, we recognize and support those living with diabetes or pre-diabetes, and raise awareness and educate those at risk. At Mahaska Health, our expert team of Dietitians are here to help. Our nutrition experts, Lea Rice, RD, LDN, CDCES, and Nicole Palmquist, RDN, LD, CDCES, conduct counseling, teach classes, and lead support groups to assist those living with diabetes in our community.
