On Saturday, April 18, Open Door was happy to be a part of a Community Cancer Awareness Symposium at the Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Ossining. This program was a collaborative presentation including the Westchester County Department of Health, Cancer Support Team, the American Cancer Society, Cancer Services Program of the Hudson Valley, Family Services of Westchester COMHPS team, and Open Door Care Network. We are grateful for the opportunity to educate our community together.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Early detection saves lives. When breast cancer if found early, it's easier to treat and survival rates are higher. Talk to your medical provider about when you should begin your breast cancer screening and how often you should have a mammogram.

Open Door Care Network patients have access to a Care Coordination team who can assist with referrals for cancer screenings, including free screenings for eligible people who do not have health insurance through the Cancer Services Program of the Hudson Valley. To learn more about our Care Coordination services, speak to your Open Door provider.

Octubre es el Mes de Concientización sobre el Cáncer de Mama. La detección temprana salva vidas.
