Roger H. Griffin, 88, of Hannibal died Saturday February 21, 2026 in St. Joseph Hospital, Syracuse, after a short illness. Mr. Griffin was born in the town of Moira, NY the son of the late Harold and Grace (LaValley) Griffin. He was retired form SUNY Oswego as the maintenance supervisor, after many years. He enjoyed working with his hands doing carpentry, and keeping his yard looking nice. He also enjoyed hunting and going to Fair Haven. Mr. Griffin is survived by his children Beth (Bill) Widrick of Turin; Michelle Shutts of Hannibal; Carmen Griffin of Hannibal; Brian Griffin of Cazenovia; his brother Phillip (Gloria) Griffin of Arizona, six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Bradley Griffin, brother Raymond Griffin, and sister Yvonne Bassett. In accordance with Mr. Griffin’s wishes there will be no services.

Charles Thomas Ellixson III After 78 wonderful and adventurous years, Charles’ journey on this earth has come to an end. Charlie passed away peacefully under the thoughtful care of the Oswego Hospital on February 16th, with his daughter by his side. Born in Fulton, NY to the late Charles T. Ellixson II and Betty (Weske) and Paul Phillips, Charles lived a full and beautiful life.
Charles was a true man of the mountain - an outdoorsman to his very core. Charles spent the majority of his life in the woods amongst the trees: camping, fishing, trapping, canoeing, and hunting. He especially loved to camp in North Lake, NY, visit Vermont, and spend quality time with his dear grandson Edwin.
The legend of Charlie will live on through his loved ones: his wife of 48 years: D. Shawn Ellixson of Oswego, NY; their daughters: Morgan Ellixson of Winooski, VT and Valerie Ellixson of Oswego; daughter-in-law: Jennifer Ellixson of Whitesboro, NY; his three siblings: Cindy Jerred of Fulton, NY; Michelene (Earl) Johnson of Forestport, NY and Paul (Annick) Phillips of Stanley, NY; two grandchildren: Edwin Ellixson and Gabby Ellixson as well as several wonderful nieces and nephews.
Charles is now reunited with those that have passed before him: his brother Logan Ellixson, his son Charles “Chuck” Ellixson IV, and his brother-in-law Herb Jerred, along with many dear friends and relatives. Those wishing to share their respects this week may join the Calling Hours from 12 to 2pm on Friday 2/20 at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., 224 W. 2nd St. S., Fulton, NY. Charles’ return to the earth will occur in the spring with a Celebration of Life to follow.

Mary Tremack, 103, died Thursday February 12, 2026 in the Oswego Hospital, after a brief illness. Mrs. Tremack was born in Oswego the daughter of the late Luigi and Aniela (Wieliezko) Bellardino, where she remained a lifetime resident of Oswego. She was a loving mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Tremack enjoyed spending time in her garden, cooking her delicious meals, to share with her family, she remained an independent woman her entire life, taking care of herself and her family and was a true animal lover. Above all she had so much enjoyment, fun, and loved being with her grandchildren, she was a very proud grandmother. Mrs. Tremack was predeceased by her husband David Tremack in 2003, their son David Tremack Jr. in 1975, and her siblings Janette Mucahey, Helen Castiglia, Philomena Proppe, Louise Ardiuni, and Anthony Bellardino. Mrs. Tremack is survived by her loving children Elinor Tremack of Oswego, Mark Tremack of Oswego, and Kathy (John) Damiano of Baldwinsville. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Joanna Damiano, Robert (Alex) Damiano, Matthew Damiano, sisters Susie Fox and Nellie Roach, and several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday at 9:00 at the funeral home 147 W. 4th. St. Oswego. David J. MacLean, 69, of Scriba died Friday February 6, 2026 at home after a sudden attack. Dave was born in Oswego the son of Catherine MacLean of Scriba, and the late John H. MacLean. He was a member of the IBEW Local # 97, and worked as an electrician for the NY Power Authority and Entergy where he retired from after 35 years of service. Dave was a member of and secretary for Friends of Fort Ontario, where he would take part in all their reenactments. He specialized in woodworking and would take the time to research and make the necessary props, to be realistic for the era, he was also a prop maker for CNY Arts, Fulton. Dave felt it was necessary for it to be realistic for the visitors or people watching the shows, so as a spectator you felt like you were part of the time, being portrayed. Dave and his brother Todd would do the Lantern Shows which would dazzle and wow the viewers at the beautiful sites across the night skies. He was always doing something to keep himself busy, Dave did not like sitting around. Dave will be forever loved and missed by his wife Melanie MacLean of Scriba, and his children Tammy (Joshua) Moser of Warwick, James MacLean of TX, stepchildren Jeffrey (Shantelle) Schulz of TX, and Michael (Amanda) Schulz of TX. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Claire, Caitlin, Caroline, Leizel, Joe, Sophia, Alex, Annie, and his siblings Todd MacLean of Scriba, and Kimberly Westcott of Oswego, and several nieces and nephews. Leo “Chad” W. McCann, 62; of Fulton, NY passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and several family members at University Hospital, Syracuse, NY; Thursday, February 5th, 2026. He was born in Fulton, NY to the late Leo E. and Priscilla (Bennett) McCann. Chad remained a lifetime resident of the area. He owned and operated McCann’s Collision, Fulton, NY for many years. Chad loved anything with an engine and wheels and he especially liked motocross. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved camping and he looked forward to the yearly Halloween party. Chad was a member of the Martville Assembly of God, Martville, NY. He will be dearly missed by his family because he was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and friend. Chad is survived by his wife of 41 years: Cynthia McCann of Fulton, his 6 children: Autumn McCann, Corey McCann, Jessica McCann, Chad (Sarah) McCann, Christopher McCann and Casey (Robin) McCann; his 6 siblings: Ruth Seltzer, Heather (Larry) Nark, Mark (June) McCann, Holly McCann, April (Lee) Hadley and Amy McCann and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Saverio “Sam” F. Bevacqua, 96; of Fulton; passed away at home with his family on February 3rd, 2026. Sam was born in Fulton, NY on July 16, 1929, to the late Samuel and Mary Bevacqua. He graduated from Fulton High School in 1946, as class president. Sam enlisted in the United States Army in 1948 and served for 4 years stationed in the U.S. and Germany and was honorably discharged as a Sergeant. He went on to have an illustrious 37-year career at General Electric as an engineering supervisor in research and development in the fields of vacuum tube technology, semiconductor and solid-state materials process and device development. Sam was the co-developer of the first solid state visible light laser in 1962, which was a forerunner of the first generation of LED lighting. Sam was awarded two patents and authored 40 papers on his work at General Electric. He was also a member of the General Electric Elfun Society. After retirement, Sam found great fulfillment in his church and community volunteer work at Holy Family Church and Catholic Charities. He enjoyed traveling and cruising the world with his wife Teresa. Sam was an accomplished musician playing the clarinet and saxophone. He was a devoted family man, and they were blessed to receive his limitless guidance, love and wisdom. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years: Teresa (Lumbrazo) Bevacqua of Fulton; their three children: Samuel Bevacqua, Marie (Dave) Mankiewicz and Robert Bevacqua all of Fulton, six grandchildren: Teresa (Matthew) Sartain, Samuel Bevacqua IV, Michael (Nela) Mankiewicz, Rimma Mankiewicz, Robert Bevacqua Jr., and Katie Bevacqua along with many great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Ursula M. Mosher, 97, of Oswego died Thursday February 5, 2026 at the Oswego Hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Mosher was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Bellardino) Sereno. She enjoyed bowling, watching horse races and playing cards with her girlfriends, where they would take turns hosting the card games. She also enjoyed going to the casino to play bingo. Mrs. Mosher was predeceased by her husband Charles Mosher, grandson Brandon Enwright, her sister Mayme Zaczek, and her brothers Sam, James, Louis, Peter, and Joseph Sereno. Mrs. Mosher is survived by her loving daughters and their husbands Linda (Martin) Enwright of Oswego; Mary (Richard) Rebeor of Fulton; and Pamela (Arthur) Caswell of MA. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren George, Ryan, Justin, Tracy, Mindy, Kara, Marty, and her 12 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. Bonnie Kaye Ketchum, 80, of Minetto died Tuesday February 4, 2026 in the Oswego Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in Schenectady the daughter of the late John and Annie (VonStettina) Horvath. Mrs. Ketchum retired in 2008 as the secretary for the Administration Department at SUNY Oswego. She has been a resident of Minetto for 44 years, where she was a member of the Minetto beautification committee, spreading beauty and joy to all who picnicked by the river or drove through Minetto. Mrs. Ketchum loved taking her dog for walks, and tending to her beautiful flower garden. She is survived by her loving children Jennifer Santos of Kansas, Jeremy (Amy) Ketchum of Scriba, her beloved granddaughters Samantha, Alison, and great – grandchildren Elise and Max. Mrs. Ketchum was predeceased by her sisters Elva Stark, Joan Villa, and Dianthia Bean. In accordance with Mrs. Ketchum’s wishes there will be no services. Brigette A. Wright 39, of New Haven passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a family who meant everything to her. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and aunt whose warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her.
Brigette is survived by her loving husband, Frank Wright; her cherished children, Abigail and Connor; her brother, Brent (Chelsea) Walker; her sister, Sarah (Shawn) Costello; and her mother, Brenda Myers and step father Don Myers, and her nephews Parker, Logan and Shawn. She also leaves behind many beloved aunts, cousins, and extended family members who were an important and joyful part of her life. Brigette loved her family, and proudly served in the United States Navy. She found her greatest happiness in time spent together, whether gathered with relatives or surrounded by her pets. Brigette’s love, generosity, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Funeral services and burial will be private. Mary R. Hundycz, 96; of Fulton, NY; passed peacefully early Thursday morning, January 29th, 2026; at St. Luke Health Services, Oswego, NY. Mary was born in Fulton, NY to the late Rosario and Rosaria (Fichera) Zappala. She remained a lifetime resident of Fulton, NY. Mary and her late husband George Hundycz married in 1950 and together raised three sons. Mary was employed with Fulton Savings Bank for over 20 years. She enjoyed decorating, reading and traveling. Mary was very devoted to her religion and Holy Family Church and later Holy Trinity Parish, Fulton. She was an avid volunteer and member of the Holy Family Golden Agers, and Altar Rosary Society. Mary was pre-deceased by her son Michael Hundycz in 1977and her siblings: Verna Pratt, Josephine Davis and R. Joseph Zappala. She is survived by her sons: Larry (Roxanne) Hundycz of The Villages, Florida; and Daniel (Michele Picuri) Hundycz of Horseheads, NY; her grandson: Christopher Hundycz and several nieces and nephews. John F. Dzencelowcz Sr., 74, of Baldwinsville, NY died Friday January 30, 2026 at Crouse Hospital, Syracuse. John was born in Syracuse the son of the late Joseph and Celia (Jankowski) Dzencelowcz. John owned and operated JD Carpet Service, Syracuse, for 36 years, and he later worked for Home Depot, in Cicero for 12 years and Lowes in Liverpool for 3 years as their carpet salesman. He enjoyed repairing cars, and to his family he was known as Mr. Fix It for all their needs. John was on the advisory board at Holy Cross Polish Catholic Church in Lakeland. He is survived by his loving family his wife of 56 years Kathleen Dzencelowcz of Baldwinsville, and their children John Dzencelowcz Jr. of CA, Jamie Dzencelowcz of NC, Kelly (Harlon) Rotnour of Syracuse, and Kimberlie Reeves of Baldwinsville. Dr. William J. Williams, 91; of Fulton, NY passed peacefully surrounded by family at Oswego Hospital, Oswego Sunday, February 1st, 2026. He was born in Fulton, NY; to the late Joseph and Columba (Signorile) Williams. Dr. Williams remained a lifetime resident of Fulton, NY. He was a graduate of Fulton High School and the University of Buffalo. Dr. Williams was a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Dental Society and the American Dental Association. He was a United States Veteran having served as a Captain in the Air Force from 1959 to 1961. Dr. Williams owned and operated William J. Williams DDS., Fulton from 1961 until retiring. He was an active member of the community and served as longtime member and past president of Fulton Kiwanis. He proudly helped facilitate the building of the Fulton Kiwanis fields. Dr. Williams was a charter member of Beaver Meadows, and he was a part of the design and construction team of the Beaver Meadows Golf Course. William was also a past member and tireless volunteer of the Italian American Club, Fulton, the Fulton Lion’s Club and the Knights of Columbus, Fulton. Dr. Williams was also a past board member of St. Luke Health Service, Oswego and Bishop Commons, Oswego. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 60 years: Margaret Ann Williams in 2019 and his sister: Ann Sullivan. Dr. Williams is survived by his five children: Christopher (Veronica) Williams of Fulton, NY; Cynthia (Walter) Ciesla of Oswego, NY; Maria (David) Johnson of Oswego, NY; Eileen (Steven) Richardson of Phoenix, NY; and Joseph (Karen) Williams of Watertown, NY; 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Calling Hours will be held 2:00 to 4:00 PM Thursday at the Sugar Funeral Home Inc., Fulton. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday at Holy Trinity Parish where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. John Leo. Burial will be held in the spring at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fulton.
