Today, I received the most meaningful flowers I will ever get. When tragedy struck in my family last week, emotions were high (and still are, and probably will always be). I am never one to mince words or hide from the idea of a “family emergency.” I was honest with my students. We can learn from this and then, help others. I cannot express my gratitude to the two students that brought me flowers this morning, nor to the countless emails full of love, thoughts, and prayers. I thank you. My family thanks you.
