Youth Health Advocate Program

Youth Health Advocate Program YHAP aims to bring awareness about HIV/AIDS and other STIs, end the stigma, & provide resources.

Youth Health Advocates are youth in the community who have taken the time to educate others on HIV/AIDS related information under the YHAP grant. (Youth Health Advocate Program) This includes STD/HIV testing, transmission, prevention, and care. Advocates work closely with an HIV Mobile Testing unit to ensure everyone in Oswego County has access to testing and provide outreach county wide.

Happy Thursday All! Today's fun fact for is: condoms should be stored in a cool, dry place. This is because extreme temperatures/temperature fluctuations can cause the condoms to lose structural integrity/more easily turn brittle and break. People should avoid putting them in your pocket, wallet, or car because of potential temperature fluctuations or these environments causing tears/microtears.
