Youth Health Advocate Program

Youth Health Advocate Program YHAP aims to bring awareness about HIV/AIDS and other STIs, end the stigma, & provide resources.

Youth Health Advocates are youth in the community who have taken the time to educate others on HIV/AIDS related information under the YHAP grant. (Youth Health Advocate Program) This includes STD/HIV testing, transmission, prevention, and care. Advocates work closely with an HIV Mobile Testing unit to ensure everyone in Oswego County has access to testing and provide outreach county wide.

You can’t always see an STI. But they’re out there.

The World Health Organization reports that over 1 million curable STIs are acquired every single day among people aged 15–49. Most show no symptoms at all.

That’s why routine testing matters. Knowing your status keeps you and your partner(s) healthy.

Get free, confidential STI testing at the link in our bio.
