Remember that va**ng has serious health risks associated with it. Research shows that va**ng is bad for your heart and lungs, and e-cigarettes are just as addictive as traditional ones. Stay safe!

At Prevention Network, we believe that healing begins with understanding. 💜

Recognizing substance use disorder (SUD) as a treatable mental health diagnosis, as defined in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5 TR), helps us replace stigma with support, compassion, and hope. 🌟

Often, substance misuse and mental health challenges go hand-in-hand. Many individuals experience both, and by addressing them together, we can foster true recovery and lasting wellness. 💭🕊️

💬 When we understand the connection between mental health and substance use, we can build pathways to healing, offering empathy, resources, and community instead of judgment.
Together, we’re creating a culture that values care over criticism and connection over isolation. 🌿

At Prevention Network We:
1️⃣ Recognizing substance use disorder as a treatable mental health diagnosis
2️⃣ Supporting integrated care for mental health and recovery
3️⃣ Reducing stigma through education, empathy, and community support

Together, we’re building a community rooted in understanding, compassion, and recovery!!

🎃 Halloween Safety Warning: “Boo-ze” & Broomsticks Don’t Mix!

If you plan on getting a little 👻 “Boo-zie” 🍺 this Halloweekend, remember, even witches should know better than to fly under the influence of potion!

🚫 Don’t Drink and Drive (or Fly)! 🚫
You’ll be hex-tremely sorry when you end up in a cold, haunted cell instead of your cozy crypt. No magic spell or bubbling brew can make that DUI disappear! Or our green mystery bologna!
Just ask our local witch, Tipsy Swift, she tried to “Shake It Off” after flying home from her cauldron party! Spoiler alert, she couldn’t enchant her way out of that broomstick breathalyzer.

So, summon a ghoulishly responsible designated driver, conjure up an Uber or Lyft wizard, or just stay home and sip your witch’s brew in peace.
Because if you don’t…

🕸️ You might find yourself trick-or-treated straight into the Oswego City Police Department Dungeon (aka Jail). Our “treat” comes with a glamorous pumpkin-orange jumpsuit and a mugshot you’ll never ever ever want to resurrect!

So don’t be a broom for trouble! Stay spooky, stay safe, and keep your cauldron parked this Halloween! 🦇💀

Every year on October 28th, we honor the brave individuals who risk their lives daily to keep our communities safe. 🚓🚑🚒

recognizes the dedication and sacrifice of firefighters, troopers, police officers, deputies, EMTs, paramedics, other emergency personnel and public works professionals who serve on the front lines during emergencies and disasters.

First responders are often the first to arrive at the scene of accidents, natural disasters, medical emergencies, and public safety threats. Dedicated public safety professionals work tirelessly, day and night, to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of our residents, responding with courage, skill, and compassion in moments of greatest need. Public Works professionals play a critical yet often unseen role in emergency response and recovery, ensuring safe roads, clean water, functioning infrastructure, and rapid restoration of essential services during storms, floods, accidents, and other crises.

The coordinated efforts of all first responders, working side by side, demonstrate courage, professionalism, and commitment to public service in the face of danger and uncertainty.
