This Small Business Saturday, we’re proudly celebrating 40 years as a family-owned business—born and raised right here in Illinois. From our very beginning, Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating has stayed true to its roots: community first, customers first, always.

What started as a small, family-run effort to make healthy eating simple has grown into a mission that now serves people across the country—yet we’re still family-owned, still home-based in Illinois, and still driven by the same values that started it all.

When you choose Seattle Sutton’s Healthy Eating, you’re not supporting a corporate giant—you’re supporting:

✨ Dietitian-designed nutrition
✨ A mission-driven company

Creamy, flavorful, and a great way to add more healthy options to your holiday-spread . Chef Marcus’s Cauliflower Mash is the perfect light twist for your Thanksgiving feast! Made with tender roasted cauliflower, garlic, butter, a hint of horseradish, and simple seasonings, this side delivers big comfort with fresh, vibrant flavor.

Ingredients:
• 1 head fresh cauliflower, cut into florets
• 1 pinch black/green pepper
• 1/16 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tbsp unsalted butter
• ½ tsp chopped garlic
• ¼ cup 2% milk
• 1 pinch iodized salt
• 1 tsp prepared horseradish (more if you love the kick!)
• ¼ cup water

Instructions:
1. Boil the cauliflower until tender, then place on a lined baking sheet and bake at 350°F for about 10 minutes to dry it out.

2. In a pot, combine all remaining ingredients, bring to a simmer, then turn off heat.

3. Add the cauliflower to a food processor or blender with half of the cooked liquid. Pulse, then add the rest and purée until smooth.

4. Taste, season, and serve warm.

A simple, comforting dish that brings a gourmet touch to your holiday table. Enjoy!!! 😊

Snacking isn’t just a quick bite — it can actually help you feel more balanced throughout the day. If you ever feel like your energy crashes, your mood dips, or you hit mealtimes absolutely starving, a planned snack might be exactly what your body is asking for.

You may benefit from intentional snacking if you:

• Show up to meals too hungry and end up overeating
• Have higher calorie needs because you’re active or have a larger body
• Deal with blood sugar dips or spikes
• Struggle to hit your daily fruit, veggie, or dairy goals
• Notice your energy or mood drops between meals
• Have an unpredictable meal schedule thanks to work or life

But here’s the big question: how do you know if you really need a snack?

Before you grab something between meals, pause for a second and check in:

• Physical hunger: Is your stomach actually growling? Are you feeling lightheaded, shaky, or low on energy? If so, your body needs fuel — something real and nourishing like fruit, yogurt, nuts, or veggies. Not just chips or candy that taste good but leave you hungry 20 minutes later.

• Habit or boredom: Are you snacking just because you’re scrolling, watching TV, or wandering into the kitchen? That’s autopilot snacking — super common, but not usually what your body needs.

• Emotional eating: Feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or drained? It’s tempting to reach for salty or sweet comfort foods, but they don’t fix the root feeling. Sometimes a walk, journaling, or talking to someone does way more for you than a bag of chips ever could.

If you want to start snacking with intention — and actually feel better because of it — comment SNACK for our free Healthy Snack Guide.
