You will become familiar with health records, documentation standards, and the applications necessary to process health information in departments of health care facilities. You will be eligible to take the national certification exam to become a Registered Health Information Technician and have employment opportunities in hospitals, outpatient clinics, health centers, insurance companies, and government health agencies.
