IHCC Dental Programs were proud to host Legislative Day on December 8th, welcoming legislators to learn firsthand about the rigorous curriculum, instrumentation handling, and clinical expectations required in Dental Hygiene education.
The visit provided a behind-the-scenes look at what it's truly like to be both a student and instructor at IHCC. Through demonstrations and discussion, we were able to highlight the critical role formal education and supervised clinical experience plays in preparing competent, safe, and workforce-ready dental hygienists.
A sincere thank you to Amanda Jay and Tom Cope for helping make this opportunity possible and for taking the time to engage with attendees. Your support helps ensure the future of high-quality oral health care in Iowa!

Seeking a Full-Time Registered Dental Hygienist, offering a $1500 sign on bonus which will be paid after 90 days.

We are a small fast paced family dental clinic on the southside of des moines, seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to fill a full time position within our practice.
Hours will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8:20am - 4pm, and Thursday’s 8:20am-2pm or 4pm.
We pride ourselves on serving the community and having a drama free, all woman staff.
Our Hygienist work collaboratively with the dental team to make quality patient care a priority.
Dental Hygienists are licensed oral health care professionals who focus on the assessment, prevention, and treatment of oral diseases, both to protect teeth and gums as well as to protect the patient's total health.
Dental Hygienist will interact with patients to provide information and education about products and services, and handle and resolve patient concerns with enthusiasm and empathy. Hygienist must have experience with digital x-rays, have common computer knowledge, and be a team player.

Our Dental Clinic is equipped with a team of dental professionals able to assist with all dental needs. Including Dentures, Cosmetic Dentistry, Whitening, Cosmetic Braces, Preventative Cleanings (both regular and deep cleanings), Restorative treatment: Fillings, Root Canals, Crowns, and Bridges.

Must be a registered dental hygienists
Pay will be based on experience
