Finding Balance Wellness Center

Finding Balance Wellness Center Our team of therapists & dietitians are here to help you to find balance in your life. We use an interdisciplinary team approach in looking at wellness.

We offer dietitians, therapists, and other clinicians who look at the whole person and what wellness means specifically to you. You can choose any, or all, of our services to connect you with what needs balancing in your life. We do not assume to know what that means to you. Our clinicians are here for YOU, whether that means you want to start with your social and emotional needs, or more specifically with your physical needs i.e. relationship with food and your body or other nutritional concerns. You tell us, and we will tailor your care to fit your social, emotional, and physical well being. Let's work to help you find YOUR joy in all areas of your life! It absolutely can be done and we are here for you! Just give us a call. We look forward to working with you!!! We want you to know we recognize that everyone defines health very differently. Please know that we honor this. Every culture, every gender, every person is unique and has their own way of understanding what health means to them. We honor all cultures, we honor all bodies, we honor all shapes and sizes. We take a HAES (health at every size) approach at Finding Balance Wellness Center. We treat body dysphoria as well as body dysmorphia. There is no wrong way to be in a body. Every nationality, every race, every gender, every s*x, every orientation, every religion, every faith, every spirit, every non theist, every human is welcome. We are judgement free here. Our hope is to be as inclusive as we possibly can, knowing that we are all always learning and growing together. Our clinicians have many years experience working with a diverse background of clients in diverse situations, from inpatient hospitalization programs and acute care settings, to partial hospitalization programs, to their own private practice situations. Some have many years of experience working in the community with severe and persistent mental health conditions. Some have experience working with populations that have experienced chronic schizophrenia and other psychoses that have unfortunately led to homelessness and other life altering outcomes. All clinicians have experience working in hospitals and with medical professionals and in medical communities. Most have many years of working with eating disorders and all have experience with working with disordered patterns of eating and/or relating to the body. We have experience with most mental, emotional, social, biological, and physical health concerns. If we cannot help, we will do our best to refer you onto resources that can. Thank you for taking your valuable time to be with us in this moment. Your friends at Finding Balance Wellness Center

Holiday gatherings of family and friends give parents a special chance to teach their daughters an empowering lesson: you don't owe anyone your physical affection. To read more from experts on why this matters, especially for girls, visit https://www.amightygirl.com/blog?p=21616

To start teaching children -- girls and boys alike -- from a young age about the need to respect others and their personal boundaries, we highly recommend "Let's Talk About Body Boundaries, Consent, and Respect" for ages 4 to 7 at https://www.amightygirl.com/body-boundaries

For older kids, check out the excellent "Consent (for Kids!)" for ages 6 to 10 at https://www.amightygirl.com/consent-for-kids

There is also a charming picture book about a young lovebird who learns there are many ways to show that you care, "Rissy No Kissies" for ages 3 to 7 at https://www.amightygirl.com/rissy-no-kissies

For more books for young children that establish an early foundation of respect for personal boundaries and bodily autonomy, visit our blog post "Body Smart, Body Safe: Talking with Young Children About Their Bodies" at https://www.amightygirl.com/blog?p=11069

Thanks to Safe kids, thriving families for sharing this image!
